Thanks! and sure. I am a born canadian citizen, my husbands a jamaican born citizen. we have been married almost 2 years and have a 2 year son. my husband also has 2 children from his previous marriage. We applied for sponsorship June 28th 2013 Ecas says application received. I was approved to sponsor July 2013. From then until April 2014 we heard nothing. On april 23rd ecas updated to in process and "we started processing your application on april 15th" The same day we also received a request for his 2 children's (from his previous marriage) medicals. On the following day CIC requested some extra information for Schedule A i believe it was they wanted a couple extra years of info as well as a new Police certificate and repayment of fees (which was an error since we paid all our fees we never had any paid for us). the following day I received a mailed letter requesting the RPRF. All info that was requested and fees have now been submitted and the children's medicals have been completed on June 4th ecas was updated as medical results received. thats as far as we have gotten We are really hoping the next step is PPR, since I dont see what else there could be left. anyone have any insight? :)

Sounds to me that you are almost there!!! PPR should be happening very soon for you and your husband :D Are his children coming with him as well or just him? If you want Kadi or one of the other spreadsheet caregivers can add you to the spreadsheet. If you want to see it find a message from Kadi and at the bottom of her tickler you will a link to the spreadsheet to have an idea of others timing. Please keep us posted and we love to get good news from our JAMFAM members and read all about the landing stories. Cheers!!

why immigration kingston as to take so long to approve especially when they have everything for the applicants?

i miss my husband so much

Hello and welcome to the JAMFAm Impatientgirl!! Unfortunately KGN always seems to be on its own schedule. As of right now it is looking like the wait time is approx 12-14 months from sponsorship approval. Not sure if yours is different due to the ARC, but if you have any questions please post bc there are a few members that were in similar situations. Thanks for providng your details. Kadi who is in control of the spreadsheet will add you when she has a moment I am sure. In the meantime have a seat and enjoy the friendly and helpful JAMFAM.

Thanks I definitely will!! And his children are included in his application so we can have them come later on we want to get things settled here and everything ready for them first :)

Welcome to our JamFam, by your timeline I am going to suggest that you settle in and get comfy... As Kingston has been known to take their 'sweet time' ;)... You are in the right place to talk, get support, offer support, joke , laugh... And celebrate any movement from ppl who know what your feeling :D

Super happy (and mildly jealous) that you're in process!!! It's comforting to know that people are still moving, regardless of how slow it is... slow movement is still movement and I agree that I think you're in the final stretch! Not saying it will be today or tomorrow but one day very soon PPR will be here!!! :P :D ;D

thank alot canjam, some days am good and some days i feel like am going crazy, but i think ill feel alot better now that i can talk to others in same position like me. :)

Wow congratulations of being in process!~just a little jealous as well! I am waiting for this day for us! At least its some sort of weight lifted in this brutal wait!
All the best!

Good Morning Family,

Just a matter of question. For those who did their police record and sent in with their file and is now expired.

Has anyone sent a new copy of the police record before Kingston requests it?

Good Morning JAMFAM!! Today is my FRIDAY since I leave tomorrow to go visit with my hubby...WOO HOO!!

Jamwife - a few people have done that - ordered and sent to KGN, but KGN asks that you wait until they request it of you. Quite a few other members have just ordered it and held it until KGN asks for it. Ours expires July 2nd and I am going to have hubby get a new one in the few weeks and do the normal 21 day service (costs way less). This way when KGN asks for it (hopefully VERY SOON thereafter) he will have it in hand and send to them lickety split ;D
