I know it's tough, frustrating and this process can drive you mad but try and stay positive and encouraged!
I truly believe that the Kingston officers have been working overtime/weekends to clear up the backlog caused by the strike. People have received status changes on ECAS over the weekends and even received PPR on the weekend, so this shows that they are working.
When I feel discouraged, I always remind myself that this forum is only a small percentage of applicants. It has been amazing to see the movement just on this forum the past 4 months so I can only imagine how many others they must be processing.
Stay strong!!

I ordered my notes today. Not that I'm expecting anything to be on there yet, but hey, who knows. Positive vibes, right!

Hi Lexi! What you mean you ordered your notes? Never heard about it...looks interesting! :)

Sorry, I mean the CAIP notes for our file.

Hey Jam Fam,

I know I have been MIA; and as I had said before I would have been very busy with work plus my son has been in a long recovery mode. Thank God he is much better!

Oh and I forgot my password and didn't want to change it cause I was sure I was putting in the right thing :P

Thanks to all who sent me a shout -out C&T, JoJrob, Greengurl and CanJam :-*

I have a lot of catching up to do so wont be able to name names but welcome all newbies and congrats to everyone who has heard good news or some news.

Lexi don't despair, notes will really get you depressed sometime as many have said before and we have seen with Nev the file is being processed but nothing updated on the notes.

So let me share what has been happening with us so far:

---I ordered notes in March and received them April 5, and nothing was on them
---Then on April 14, after months of not checking e-cas I saw "In-Process" :D
---And on April 15, hubby got an e-mail to re-do meds and PC

So again notes are sometimes no indication of whether your file is being worked on.

Stay blessed and keep prayed up Fam; Walk by faith and not sight.

Oh and how can I forget.

BIG CONGRATS to mommy bun and cheese.

Sh and Sh, enjoy every moment; children are a blessing :)

Blessings and prayerful encouragement to everyone else still waiting, it will come to an end.

Thank you for the encouragement CdnandTrini but God knows this wait is torture. This is getting Ridiculous >:(
I truly believe that the Seasonal Farm Workers Applications are their priority right now, hence the slowing down of our Apps. Hope they hurry and get out of here.

I need my passport back Kingston, thank you.

It's so true HOAO, a very painful process when you are in it. A bit like childbirth labour.....it seems like long slow torture at times and then BAM!! A beautiful thing happens and your memory of the pain recedes a bit :P. But unlike having a baby- immigration is definitely not something anyone wants to do again :D.

;D :D :-* YAY!!!! Your time has finally come my dear!! AMEN!!

Hey, i can see that Kingston is working on those files.

I have a question: My husband jamaican passport will expire early next year and that passport is that one that is expecting to have the PR visa stamped in. i am wondering if it is best to renew it, or do i have to wait until after being that the embassy already have the current Passport number on file?

Kingston REALLY is working on those files. My hubby got a call today from them asking if he got the letter requesting his passport. Has anyone else's hubby gotten a call like that after getting their PPR request?!

Thank you to the new comments with congratulations on my over excitement about our PPR. haha It has put a pep in my step to clean my room and organize it so I can fit two people in he room I've lived in since I was 10. (We will be living with my parents for a while until we can afford a down payment on a house or until we can't handle living here anymore... whichever comes first. ha!) :P

About everyone and our patience ... yes we do need to be patient. I really wasn't and still am not. I know a lot of us look to God for strength and I hope that he holds us in his arms on this long journey. I do believe that through the most trying times he is there carrying us and helping us make it through. BUT IM STILL IMPATIENT. :P ??? :o

Sh and Sh how is littleshhhhhhh?!?!!?!?!?

Woot woot!!! Yay!!! That PPR is right around the corner!!!

Happy Friday all!

Glad to see so many people in great places in this process, definiately brings a smile to your face when feeling down in the process.

Does website where you find "updates" on process sometimes not update? It says they usually update on Tuesdays and as much as we try not to check anything on here and get our minds off of it we still check and still "application received" for our second part. I know with the first part we always checked and it said that as well until after we received the letter of approval we noticed chance, but we didnt check near as often as we are this part. Feels like every day is pins and needles awaiting some good news to make plans you cant make without some things!

I see ordering notes doesnt always provide answers for people, what about hiring a lawyer, will that speed anything up or see things better?

Thanks Sammy & C&T :-*; anticipation is still there but I am little bit more comfortable waiting.

Bring on PPR KGN for everyone waiting; as I believe majority of persons here have passed the six months mark now and I dont see why not get these files finalized ;D

It will just say application received. They should update it with Medicaid received but they don't always do that. The next thing you will see is "in process". That means PPR is close!!

And No they don't always update it when they say they will
