Hi Everyone!

I arrived home safe and sound. I had a wonderful time in JM and am so blessed that I was able to spend time with my hubby. This was the first Valentine's Day that we spent together in 5 years and it was amazing. I definitely had all of you in my thoughts as I know how difficult it is to be away from your loved one especially on Valentine's Day. I will have to do some reading to catch up with the forum but congrats to all of those who received news and updates from Kingston.

I just checked our ECAS and we are in Process as of February 14!!!
I don't know how I am going to handle the PPR as just with this update tears are flowing!

Have a great Monday!
that is great news.. so happy for you...

Wow I've been ready a couple of posts and this forum is great!
I see some of you have been waiting forever, but in the spreadsheet I saw some applications that got through in 4-5-6 months!! We have to keep the faith right!?

So here are a couple of questions for you:
- I know we need to include pictures in our application right? How did you organze them? Simply put them in an enveloppe? Or tape them to a sheet of paper? Write a description with dates behind them? Under them? Or not at all?
- Medical exam: did you wait until Kingston contacted your spouse to say now is time for medical exam? Or you did it prior to sending the application? DId you do it in Montego Bay? Kingston? Mandeville? I called the Mandeville place and honestly they didnt seem to know what I was talking about and asked me to call back in 10 minutes for them to get the info I was asking.... :S Should I go elsewhere?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome JosyAnn!

I just included all the photos in an envelope and wrote the details directly on the back of them. I also had one large envelope with all the cards/letters/emails/phone records inside.

Regarding the medical... I agree with those who said it's better to do it up front, as per the country specific guidelines for Jamaica.

Hi I have a question for everyone. My husband finally got the call to go to Mobay to take his passport to mail in to Kingston also to send a prepaid return envelope. How long do u think it will be before his paperwork comes in?? And how long do we have to get him to Canada?

Congrats on the PPR request Trudybuff!! Hopefully KGN will get passport and send it back right away!!! So from start to finish in 15 months not bad. Of course quicker would have been better. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi!
I'm very happy to finally find this forum! I have been lookin for a while, but mostly on facebook...
I was about to do that (read past posts) but then I saw that there are 3000 pages... I don't think I'll ever be able to read through it!!
My situation is the following: me and my husband have been married since April 7th, 2012 and we have a son (born December 11th, 2012)... I didn't file yet (complicated story) but I am about to do it... I saw online that the delays for the Kingston office is like 22 months... Makes me want to cry... Is this for real??

Welcome JosyAnn to our JAMFAM forum!! This process can take up to 22 months but some make it through quicker! We are all hopeful that it will be us ;D. If KGN and this process teaches us anything it is to be patient. If you read through the last 50 pages you will probably find answers to your questions or use search engine. I would suggest sending Mississauga a fully complete application - medically, police certificate, paid fees, evidence of relationship, etc. - so that it doesn't get returned to you as incomplete.

Good luck!!

Congrats to those who got PPR and in process. Both so exciting!! Kingston started the week of early with a bang. Go Kingston go.

Happy Family Day!!!

Congrats in hearing something from them, but an interview is when they doubt your relationship... Not saying yours isn't genuine, but its something making them asking for an interview.. I hope everything goes well and he got though..tell him to provide as much of what they ask.. And don't be nervous, from once he knows about your relationship and everything he should know about his spouse he's good to go.. Good luck

And that 10 business day, sometime they take longer... Kingston isn't Consistence... They can even get back in 5 days... Sometimes confusing.. But hope everything goes well and you get your hubby home
