There is no reason why it shouldn't be...
well i am sure there are probably more applications in JA then Australia so that would account for fast processing....less backlog!

Yeahhhhhhhh woohoo finally......go and get it! Can he jsut go and pick it up himself?
No he cant...he had to go to the courier and pay the fee and then they send Kingston the receipt and then Kingston will send it out...I would have made it easier to just go and pick it up but hey..I'm not complaining we will probably receive it middle of next week, I'm hoping if its paid today...and it will be!!!

There are probably several reasons why it was done so quickly. One of the biggest factors is that Australia is very comparable to Canada so the chances of someone using a Canadian to get PR is slim to none.

JA could have faster processing timelines if they were staffed adequately. Why should we suffer because there are thousands of applications?

has anyone ever watched boarder security Canada? my co worker watched one the other night and said that there was this guy coming from Jamaica into Toronto and they sent him back to Jamaica because he has booked his ticket 3 days before and they wanted to know why he booked his ticket only 3 days before and not longer.

she said that on that show they are very hard on Jamaicans :(

poor guy! all I could think was if my hubby got the PP back I would be booking him on the next flight out but after hearing that I might want to wait for a week or so. I bet his wife was waiting on the other side of those doors waiting. I cant believe that.

Hahahaha Carm I watched it too. The guy was pretty shady as to why he was here in Canada. We will have no worries about bilking a flight a couple days before. They all know that we need to do this because we want our spouses here!!! Lol. Poor guy should have just said why he was really here and maybe not travel with someone else's wallet!!!! lol also he mentioned that his wife was coming up on a later flight and she booked it the nite before she was coming.

@ carm my hubby's e-cas never when into in "in process" our said we started processing your app on September 2012..and then it changed to we started processing your application October 17th and then Sunday wich would be October 20th we had decision made...all this was put on e-cas the very same day...so I wouldnt read into the "in process" thing too much.

Opps that was October 17th 2013

We should not be shocked by this timeline. This should be the norm...

The way we are treated and the amount of time we are forced to wait in the dark is what is truly disturbing...

Whoa!

Exactly Nev; 3 mths should be the norm; the longest I believe complicated apps should wait is 6mths including interview if required.
