agreed.....next to impossible to get a TRV unless he has LOTS of money in the bank and it has to have been there for a while, you can't just go put it in there.......a home paid for in JA, a very good job in JA as these are all reasons that he will have to come back to Jamaica so it shows proof that he will come back......based on experience from other forum members most are denied as they feel the spouse will not return due to the fact that their spouse is in Canada....if you are denied while he is in Canada, then it is more then likely he won't come back to JA (just an example of why) :( sorry

thats ok we are still going to try the way I look at it is that its $75 for the processing fee so why not. At least I know that I have tried everything I could with no regets :)

ahhhhhh thank you so much.....another question.....they don't have forms to take with them no more when they go right? New procedure? So if we just want to re-do, then he can just call and make an appointment right?

Chickie. No forms anymore just make the appointment and go in. The doctor has all the info and will send it off to Cic

I was advised to do the same thing a few months back from somebody who sponsored a family class member to Canada in the past. he told me to apply for a visitors visa, it will speed up the process of getting my husband here. He also told me to send the letter that you got from CIC stating that you were able to sponsor your husband to come to Canada, If the Visa office in Kingston sees that you were able to sponsor him for a PRV then they may GIVE him a trv until his PRV was finalized. So like you said it's worth a try it is only $75 and knows it may help you in the long run!! Good luck!!

2 weeks at this time my hubby will finally be holding his baby. Omg still have so much to do. Traveling with a soon to be 2 month old is crazy. I have so much to pack for her. I'm getting excited but nervous to travel down there for 6 months with the baby. I'm hoping its not going to be 6 months I have to stay down there. Good thing is if I do we get to celebrate out 1st anniversary, Christmas, New Years and my birthday.

Today is my hubby's birthday. I think I have talked more to him today than I ever have. I wish I was there for it as its a milestone one but we will celebrate when I get there

Well have a good weekend everyone

I went in April with my two month old Daughter and it was wonderful my husband was so happy to see her and I was happy to see them together it was just the best feeling ever. I wish you the best. It's a good thing that you are staying for six months it was so hard for my husband to see my daughter and I leave I don't wish that upon anyone. I am just happy that our journey is just about over in our life together is going to begin soon I also hope not for you to!!

OMG this is killing me! I have 3 medicals to redo......for crap sake!
hey there sis they have 3 other person in Kingston that can do medical but I think that you would have to make a appointment first but Dr. Gomez you don't need any appointment at all....As long as he is in his office then you can just go in and do it....that is the reason why I go straight to him but once I get the money to do my medical next month if he is on vacation then I will just call around and see what the others doctor tell me.

Good Morning to all that are still survivng through the long immigration process. I have been watching my online account closely as everyone else has. Sponsor-Decision Made, PR-Application Received. My file was sent to Kingston in May and the PR status has not updated to show they have the file. I did email them in June and they stated that they did have the file. Do they normally updated it on the system as well? Also, I am going to be ordering the notes in October, is there anything is specific I need to know about this process? It seems odd how some of the apps take 19+mths and others 4-12mths. Are we not all doing the same friggen application???? :o Ive just started this process and their already making me wanna pull my hair out. Any suggestions are WELCOMED ;D

Not sure where around Runaway Bay he can go. Don't worry about the weed smoking. They don't test for that at all

Um not to rain on any ones parade but when you go for your medical and there are traces of marijuana in your system it will make a difference on your application...I have a friend on the workers program who tested positive for marijuana and got denied this season...It may be a harmless drug but it is still drug use and they may look at it as a negative..just putting it out there...maybe not smoke it for a while before your medical...thats all
