Gud insight to what you posted Chicks but the process is still confusing because it does not appear that kimgston is processing in a particular order

Here is some more info that i got on the bring forward date:

Sorry, but the BF date is just to bring the file to the officer to ensure that nothing has arrived on the file and the file was not brought out to the officer. For example, lets say the officer requests information from another office, and s/he thinks that it will take 3 months to receive the information, so s/he BFs the file for 3 months. If the information requested arrives before the 3 month BF, then the file would have been brought out. If when the file is brought forward on the BF, and the information requested has not arrived, then the I/O can follow up with office that s/he requested the information from. The B/F is not a deadline for anything and the file would not be transferred to another office.

I truly believe that they are looking at them as they come in but for the initial review and further review some will take longer then others........i will try to use an example to explain myself here and please don't take my words for total truth, these are just my beliefs from my research....

Application A: woman marries man in Canada as he is here for whatever reason, he goes home and they put in application in April

Application B: woman marries man who has never left the island, she met him down there and they marry down there.....applied in June

In October, both woman email Kingston and app A gets initial review email, but app A get in process/review email.......i believe that app A is being looked at also but they may have had to go check with Canada RCMP as to his background check or something so they have put a bring forward date of November to go back and check to see if Canada RCMP has gotten back to them so they haven't changed the email because they are waiting for something whereas app B didn't have so much checking to do so they were able to change the email because they have moved onto a different stage for that person due to less checking....

I believe the bring forward dates mean alot to people because Kingston will say for example they want you to pay the RPF fee so they say ok we will put a 1 month bring forward date on this application and will they won't come back to that until that time....you may go and pay the fee the next day but they still won't go back and look until that bring forward date comes up.

I hope this sheds some light on the process for people.....like i said, i don't know if this is entirely true but I have researched this process like crazy reading posts, googling etc because I am truly trying to understand it and this is what I have come up with so far....

Chickie, I see you're the Counselor on Duty tonight. Really good information you've given everyone!!

Kingston is not known for really giving good updates on things so while you may think nothing is being done......things are actually going on............glad that cheered you up! Many times I am at the end of my rope and someone has been here to pull me back up again..........that is why i am thankful for this forum!

Goodnight Everyone........i email Kingston last week and the replied back to me. This is what they had to say......

Dear Sir

This application was received in Kingston on 26 June 2012. Applicants can check the status of their case on the CIC website by clicking on Client Application Status.

Following an initial review, this application was queued for interview and is currently awaiting its turn for scheduling, based on the date it was received. Interviews are normally conducted at the Canadian High Commission in Kingston. Once an interview date is scheduled, the applicant will receive an appointment/interview letter approximately four to six weeks before interview.

Processing times are calculated from the date the application is approved by Case Processing Centre Mississauga, after which it is sent to the visa office for further processing. For individual cases, actual processing times may vary depending on the complexity of the application and the number of new applications received by the visa office.

PS. So now i know what is going on for my application........Have anyone spouse done an interview at kingston

Hi Maddants,

My best advice to you at this time is to ask your wife to order your notes ASAP. You will need to both carefully identify any potential "red flags" that has raised concerns and has caused the VO to convoke an interview.

It may be surrounding your relationship or perhaps a security issue. Be prepared for everything and do not leave any stone unturned. Based on your submitted application, and their findings, they are concerned/not convinced for reasons unbeknownst to any of us. However, the notes can help you identify some of their concerns.

Wishing you the best of luck.
