Good morning forum family and lets welcome a new month this week. Rg, touching story mi fren and enjoy. You're right about January Charlie, it does fly by, but thats a good thing as it was a good month for us as we saw many updates. Well it appears that starving KG out of jokes doesn't work so I guess we'll have to keep posting them. Have a awesome week all,

Don't Lie to Mom
John invited his mother over for dinner. During the meal, his mother couldn't help noticing how beautiful John's roommate was.

She had long been suspicious of a relationship between John and his roommate, and this only made her more curious.

Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there was more between John and the roommate than met the eye.

Reading his mom's thoughts, John volunteered, "I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you, Julie and I are just roommates."

About a week later, Julie came to John and said, "Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the beautiful silver gravy ladle. You don't suppose she took it, do you?" John said, "Well, I doubt it, but I'll write her a letter just to be sure."

So he sat down and wrote "Dear Mother, I'm not saying you did take a gravy ladle from my house, and I'm not saying you did not take a gravy ladle. But the fact remains that one has been missing ever since you were here for dinner."

Several days later, John received a letter from his mother which read: "Dear Son, I'm not saying that you do sleep with Julie, and I'm not saying that you do not sleep with Julie. But the fact remains that if she was sleeping in her own bed, she would have found the gravy ladle by now. Love, Mom."

Lesson of the day...Don't Lie to Your Mother.

I'm missed the updates....CONGRATS to them!!!!! RG, JahBee, Psalm......sorry if I overlooked anyone!
So happy when I hear good news!!!

Totally agree with RG....even though I'm not on here daily, I read through the updates when I can....and still feel like I'm not alone. It's the only place where I can come and know that all you wonderful peeps understand.....

I hope for plenty more updates this month!!!!!! 8) LOL

Howdie everyone!

Congratulations on all the updates--great news!!!

I'm a December applicant, patiently waiting for sponsor approval...well, maybe not so patiently lol...but I'm trying :) Someone in the December forum filed Dec 2 and received sponsor approval last week, so things are coming along. My anniversary is in 6 months and thought I would wait and go to Jamaica then. It's really hard to wrap my mind around 6 months tho!!!! but it gives us time to save and plan something really nice to celebrate our 1st year together. Hope everyone is well, I've been desperatly looking for very very early signs of Spring...hey a girl can dream can't she? I know, I know Spring will be here before we know it...and so will our spouses, cuz time really does fly!!

Hmm, does anyone know how to insert images? I clicked the button on top there to insert but this is all I get "

Lost, Charlie did reply she just killed 2 birds with one stone...did you see this:

That is one reason why those whose spouses have previously lived in Canada can sometimes take so long, RCMP checks can take a while, sometimes as much as 4-6 months. Other circumstances that can lengthen processing include step-children being sponsored (and how cooperative the other parent is), failed refugee claims, and police checks from other countries. It all comes back to the applicants and their backgrounds. That is why it is good to look more at the overall average processing time than the experience of a few individuals.

You are so lucky you get to go home...when do you go? I go in March and January felt like the longest month ever!!! and it's still not over :'( Don't leave us we need your posts!!and we're all here for you!

Congrats to all of you with updates...happy happy happy for you all.

A special congrats to Randysgirl...knowing a bit of your story I have been rooting for you hard this whole journey and it really makes my day to know its all come together and hubby is gonna be here asap!! Wishing you guys the best!! Is puppy coming still?

All the rest of you with updates..I wish you guys all the best in your new life!!

Hope to see more updates!!

Please read my posts carefully. I may address a reply to someone, but if multiple comments concern the same thing (what makes processing for some take longer than others) then my intention to cover everyone's concerns.

Good morning everyone, and farewell to January! Last day of the first month of 2012 for KG to do something spectacular for someone, let's cheer them to it. Let's GO, KG, let's GO!! NNNNEEEXXXTTT!!!!

Have a marvelous Tuesday, everyone, enjoy your days to the full! Lots of folks making plans to visit Jamaica soon, come and enjoy the lovely weather (and maybe some quality time with your spouse too!), LOL. Just imagine, some of you could bring your loved ones home when you come for those visits! :)
