Good morning family.

I have landed in Canada!!!

We had a very smooth flight in yesterday for the most part, we actually left and landed ahead of schedule. I had no problems at all, the immigration guy was extremely nice, i also changed the address on the document as suggested Charlie to the new address. Hubby was unable to come and get me since he was at work and sent his aunt and cousin to pick up. The whole process was good and now my new life begins with my husband, i am so excited!!!.

I just want to thank all of you for being there through my good and bad times, i know without you guys i would be way more paranoid than i was. Thanks a million!!!

NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!

jahlove , Yay...welcome Girl !! so happy for you, wishing you many Blessings with your husband and your new life in Canada! :D

Jaylove, welcome home girl, we are all extremely happy to add another beautiful Jamaican to our country

canuck, I saw this today and made me laugh!! How accurate is it?? Friday Chuckle!

Deadly Words Used By A Woman

1) Fine
This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2) Five Minutes
If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3) Nothing
This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

4) Go Ahead
This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!

5) Loud Sigh
This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

6) That’s Okay
This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7) Thanks
A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you’re welcome. (I want to add in a clause here – This is true, unless she says ‘Thanks a lot’ – that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say ‘you’re welcome’ . that will bring on a ‘whatever’).

8 ) Whatever
Is a woman’s way of saying F– YOU!

9) Don’t worry about it, I got it
Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking ‘What’s wrong?’ For the woman’s response refer to #3.

Good afternoon everyone!

RG - Glad your hubby did not have to make that extra trip to Mobay, gives him extra time to pack, LOL.

Jahlove!!! What kinda dry story that, ma'am?! :P J/K, have a wonderful rest of your life with hubby. We will not send out the troops if you don't post for another couple weeks, hahaha!! ;)

Suki - I love that joke, and you're right, it is totally true. My husband knows it is "duck and cover" time whenever I say "That's OK"! LOL, good chuckle to end the week.

:)Welcome to Canada Jahlove!!!

Welcome welcome welcome JAHLOVEEEEEE!!!! Which part of Canada have you come to?

Yayyyyyyy!!!! Congrats JahLove!

Hey guys, I am feeling a little sad today, I went to leave flowers and a card on the place where my friend/sons dem barber was shot point blank in broad daylight at the barber shop where my kids had been the night before. My little son wrote a card about missing him, and it was real touching! real tragedy, such a sweet guy.. :(

ppl have no regard for human life star jah know...

after paying the landing fee, approximately how much longer u normally wait after paing the landing fee to get pr guys?

Not sure witty as for us, we just start the process, but we paid it upfront...to avoid waiting.

:o Mrslwsn, that's so tragic! A loss of regard for human life is one of the sad consequences of the time we live in. Everything goes by so quickly, and people are so caught up in things they forget to value life. Sorry to hear about your family's friend.

Witty- CIC's website says it can take up to 8 weeks for the RPRF payment to be confirmed to the visa office, that is why they recommend making the payment up front to avoid the additional delay.

Thx Charlie, It is quite a big deal here in Toronto, I am glad to see they are shining attention on this tragedy as most black men murdered here are swept under the rug or fade from news fast with not much media attention. He was a real community person, so everyone is outraged.

Such a shame, Mrslwsn. I have a case somewhat like that I am following here in Jamaica, over a year ago a gentleman well-known in Negril was shot by a police squad from Kingston. Total outrage in the community, and his family and friends have been fighting hard to keep it alive so that like so many other extra-judicial killings it does not just go away. Every month on the 4th there is a vigil by those of us from Negril who are far away, and those in the community hold a walk along the beach and a candle light vigil. The policeman is in court, but not much progress has been made on the case even after a year. Still, it was a triumph just getting charges laid. I hope your friend gets swifter justice. Justice delayed is justice denied.
