Hi, and u paid fees in June right? So that means they are a the final step and since the PC was expired, then they have requested the new one. If it would have be valid, then it would have be PPR...so run run to criminal record office to get it done asap! :) When u got it, send a copy via email and the original by mail.
Congrats lijasha!! That gives me hope too since I think we are around the same timeline. Thats great

@ Paula, I don't want to be rude but using a lawyer doesnt change anything at all cause they are there only to make money and they dont give a s h i t if you wait a long time....I just hope people will follow their hearts and not follow your advices because of the lawyer bull sh its...

Look the spreadsheet on my line...look the amount of months vs peoples above or below me (around my timeline)....I did everything b4 them request it and it never slowdown, it was even faster then other peoples. Samething for Ninirae and Zoey80...PC has been redo and we all save 2 to 3 months waiting.

Look Roxie-B and HubbyWifey, they have wait them to request stuff and now since May they have sent everything and they are still waiting for PPR....so for real, what do you think it slowdown the process!???

Well its up to you guys to do what you want, but since almost 2 years now I saw many convos or info from different sources like a VO in hospital in Kingston was telling how it works to a nurse + somebody whos working at Criminal record office (pc) in Kingston saying to always maintain the PC valid and send another one in asap to make it faster...so the lawyer doesnt really care about your feelings or how it works, he does care about your wallet and the more time is gonna take the more money hes gonna earn....

The reason I wrote to you it is just because you sounds like you want to scare peoples on the forum and I dont like this. Cause the way you manage your process, I have a feeling that you going to have an interview cause you hired a lawyer plus you send a box of evidences (that is completely unnecessary), that sounds to me that you really need to proof that your relationship is authentic.

No offence, but it needed to be clarified
i did my application I had a lawyer review it and give me advice but he had nothing to do with the case and I know that using a lawyer doesn't change the outcome and I did do the whole application myself I only had advice from a lawyer whom is definately not telling me things to make money off me because he is a very close family friend and he isn't making a thing from me ... But anyways at the end of the day it all just boils down to how well your application is put together and your the one who has to prove that your relationship is genuine . And I know before the advice from a lawyer I sent in additional stuff to CPC Mississauga that they didn't request and it did slow down the process here in Canada by 4 weeks . And that is a fact because it's clearly written in my CAIPS notes that I ordered two months ago .. I think some people are unclear and seem to think a lawyer does your application for you that's totally not true , maybe some but how can they when your the one who has to explain your relationship to immigration , all a lawyer does is make sure that you summit everything and give you advice , and while some lawyers are only in it for the money that's not always the case ..:. Anyways we will see what happens and every single case is different some people get through in just 5 months ...I'm definately not trying to scare anyone and if it came off that way my apologies... Definately not my intention gosh if I had it my way everyone would get through in a month ... I also have sponsored a child I adopted from there 4 years ago which is a different process but you still deal with Kingston the same way you would in a spousal sponsorship .... I will definately have my husband do another police check soon but I won send it in unless they request or it gets close to November then I would scan and email it in and only mail it in once requested ... I hope to see everyone's status soon changed to LANDED ...and I wish everyone the best of luck

Goodnight everyone. I'm new here. I apologize in advanced if my questions may seem redundant, I tried to go back and read previous threads for info but it's impossible to read them all. I am just wondering we have received and email and a letter through the post requesting that I pay the RPRF. I did as asked does anyone know appx how long before you are contacted again. The people who I know have been through the process years ago and things are so different now. Was hoping for some recent experience. Any feedback would be great! Thanks!!

Im not 100% on the rtpr fee but I was asked for documents in May and havent been contacted yet. Lijasha was asked for rtpr fee in June I believe and they just advised her about the police check, so bot too sure but it may be the 60 day "bring forward" time that my MP told me about.

We were asked for the RPRF in July. Never asked for any additional documents or police check. Was this a second police check? One was submitted with the initial application. But yes the letter did state the we had 60 days to submit the fees. I did within 4 days and got and email confirming receipt of payment on the following day. I guess we just continue waiting. Thanks for the feedback. It's great to have someone to ask questions.

thats good news hopefully there starting to move again now , they slow things down a bit in the summer. It seems we all got the same line added to our Ecas. If you did your medicals November 2014 I would sugguest you email Kingston to ask for a extension on the expiry of your medical , I did that just a couple weeks back. I initially asked if I should redo the medicals as the expiry date was approaching and they told me that they granted my request and the medical is extended to August 2016. I have been told by a few people to redo the police check because it expired but Kingston told me not to , and my lawyer told me that it's the medical that has to be valid when they land and not the police check . Kingston does also do there own police check during the processing so unless there is something that's not clear or someone else with a similar name and date of birth showing up in the system when they do there check it's unlikely they would request a new one . My lawyer told me every time you mail something to them it gets input into the system and gets put at the bottom of the pile for review so it can actually delay your process if you mail them additional information before they request it . My lawyer had me summit so much stuff when we did our application it was actually sent in a box because it could not fit into any envelopes . We had emails , text messages , digicel top up online history for 4 years , my cra stuff showing he has been on my tax info since May 2012, life insurance policies for both of us naming the other a benefitacy, bank info from a account we have together and a land title from land we own together in Jamaica , my last name has been changed to his , we had 20 support letters from family and friends contesting to our relationship , birthday cards , emails , phone records from my company in Canada and his in Jamaica , I have travelled there 16 times in 2.5 years and usually stay 2 weeks - a month each time. We had western union slips from Me sending him money and him sending me money, we summited over 300 photos and also both wrote detailed accounts of our relationship from start to now, mine was 50 pages and his was 30 pages . With everything in the application it was over 900 pages. If your application is put together well
And there are no discrepancies between your information and his information and there isn't a significant age difference between the two of you then your interview should be waived which makes the process significantly faster .
Paula I have a friend that works for immigration and she told me not to send to much stuff cause people that send to much get put on the back burner I only sent 30 picture 10 emails 3ref letters and 10 digicel and 5 western union I was told that's more than enough I hope your file is not on back burner a lawyer can't really do to much but take your money I did everything myself lawyer can't really do much

Yes however they dont review the file when they receive your payment. They put it in a "bring forward" pile where they look 60 days later to see if you paid it. They asked me for docs May 31st, confirmed the next day or so that they received em, but didnt look at my file again for 60 days
