Make sure its the Federal mp. If you email the wrong person, they will email you back and let you know who to forward to.

Me I started sayin that I am a Citizen of my place since 15 years and I always support the liberal governement but now I need help personally with my husband immigration case. So I explained all the delays and that since 11 months I never heard anything from Kingston even I sent emails or questions online and this caused stress. That its not normal to pay everything over a thousand dollars and not be able to getting any news on the file. So I explained also that I wanted to know if the medicals has been extented, when can I expect to have news. I also gave all the informations name, date of birht + UCI numbers...

I wish I can copy the email I sent to you guys but it is in French so its not going to help you.

I sent this email on November 17....medicals has been extended on November 20....application approved on November 28 (decision made Dec 2nd on Ecas) and hubby got called on Dec 8 to send passport in. So I don't know if the fact that my MP went in the file helped but *censored word* things started to move from that moment !!

Perfect. Thanks so much for info Mel. The only hint I was wondering was if they are gonna say I am not waiting for any length of time as it is 8 months. There website cited 27 months processing time as average worst case scenario; so will they use that premise on us saying we have no grounds to complain yet as we knew the average processing time beforehand. Just sayin'.
I sure am gonna email regardless but wanted to know what angle they may take it from.

Technically speaking.....What should email be saying or what should be the tone? Like we "begging a bligh"?....If u know what I mean. It's eight months and I missing my hubby? We waiting too long? We are just wondering the angle...Hubby is gonna email his MP...

27 months is usually when FBI records or ARC or other documents like this are involved because of applicants who have already travelling or stay in USA or Canada before.

My MP was telling me the same about the 25 months but at the end of the day it took 12 months and my file started to move. So even you are at 8 months, you never know, maybe things will start to move !

I was worried about them telling me the same thing because im only 7 months in. But im not expecting an approval and ppr from them this instant, i just want them to start moving their asses. 2 months for a bring forward date is crazy! I dont need ARC or RCMP, no other kinds of difficulties, everything is in and everything is paid for, so I want to know from them what is the delay? Whats next? If they emailed me back and said ok we will be done processing you in 2020, then at least Id know what to expect right? But how do you pay over $1000 for something, and not know anything that takes place or when you will get thru? And why do they keep it all so secret?

Well said. It is sooo true, the not knowing what is happening for months. That is what is killing us. U just dont see any movement at all for months at a time. And why not as our additional docs that they receive they just dont act on it same time. Why wait out the entire 60 days plus plus.....Not saying drop what u doing as my mail with the additional docs come in but at least keep it close by and actionable in a short time frame knowing they have it in hand. Not in file "I will check it in 60++ days"...Come on VO guys, cut us some slack here.

Exactly! Especially when they emailed to confirm two days later that they had what they needed, why do they still wait the 60+ days if they know they have it? They are just trying to punish us. Spiteful people.
