How long are the Medicals good for??

Even though KGn has asked for the Medicals to be "redone", we did them on July 7/ 2013.
Could we ask them to be extended even though they already asked for them ???


Just exploring options here....

. You really never know . My husband's were done Feb 2013. In Sept of 14 they extended them till Jan 15. In the notes it said there was nothing in the first medical to prevent him from entering under section 38. I dont believe they even look into it until the app's about to be finalized

OK so I emailed Kingston and my mp this morning. My mp has not responded yet but Kingston actually emailed me!! This is the response I got from Kingston. "We write in response to your email below.
We are current awaiting a report on external checks being conducted. Once this is received we will further process your spouse's case.

Would these checks be the security and criminality checks from the RCMP? Thoses were requested in June, so I've updated my mp n will see if that is the case n may e they can see why they've taken over 4 months. Thanks Sammy!!

Yes they may be the RCMP checks...I know that sometimes those can take longer as they are doing these checks outside the country and a third party (the RCMP) provides the info. So they need to wait for them to respond.

They might not have started them right away. You know....let them sit on the desk and collect desk for while. Total BS if you ask me. So stupid.

Hey guys, first of all Steen congrats on your email from Kingston keep the Faith girl it's not easy
On a real note those people that work inside immigration are blue blood suckers they don't give a f****k uncensored sorry to all the Christian on here not trying to be rude, respect due,, sometimes I wish I could just clear my mind from thinking about this processs, sometimes I wish I could erase them from my memory but it's so damn hard when it's something you really need to happen! only God n us who feels it understand what we're all going thru with these people, slowly but surely he getting us out
I do try my hardest to be patient n to have Faith in what I ask for

is it, check status >> permanent residence from outside Canada >> simplified application process? >> check app status >> continue >> immigration file number?? >> *enter the application number*?? >>

I go so often to check the ECAS that I saved it in my favorite Here is the direct link you can use: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?app=ecas

You select immigration file number and you put your hubby F********* number then Family name DOB and country and you're good to go.

Good morning everyone!!! So my ECAS was updated yesterday showing that the medical results were recieved. When looking at the chart in shows medical results in the decision made category!! But we still say in process. Do you think there is an issue with the medical or am I just overthinking and getting ahead of myself. Waiting this past couple weeks has been worse than waiting the 15 months lol so close yet so far away!!!!! Hope everyone has had a good week, and safe travel to those going to visit hubby's!!!!!!

Ours has said Medicals Recevied since December 2013...so it has no bearing on any decisions being made. Ecas isn't always updated with medicals received so they may have just got around to adding it. You will change to "decision made' when they are ready to send the passport back. Once you see that start STALKING the DHL website!!
