Its been a loooooong, just wondering if I could hear of anyone that actually got through on a Visitation Visa and who asked and got denied.
Any tricks anyone noticed

I hope you are all keeping well and I hope KG starts rolling out the PPR's like they usually do this time of year.

I just wanted to chime in on the TRV discussion. There were a lot of people that applied for A TRV for their spouse while they were going through the immigration process and they were all denied except one. The one person that got the TRV had a home in JA, a successful career that took him to the US a lot for work, several thousands of dollars in the bank and his employer wrote a letter to the High Commission stating he was the only person that could do his job and had to be home in JA by a certain time. He was granted the TRV and never had to use it because he got PPR soon after.

I wish you all the best and hope you are reunited with your families by the end of the year.

This is a painful process; you are all strong and will get through this.

and yes Love me my wedding shows! My friend from Trinidad forum's father is throwing them a welcome to Canada reception now so MORE WEDDING ISH PLANNING!!! So pumped. And yes 19 kids and counting could hold my attention forever and ever. She is pregnant because of their religious beliefs that they do not use contraception. Some of them use the calendar to count day and know when to and not to get busy but that doesn't necessarily work well either. I know this girl I went to high school with who used that after she got married and she too got pregnant VERY soon after. The whole not kissing thing is extreme ... I mean I've had some disgustingly sloppy kisses from frogs before meeting my Prince. YECK!

Thanks ma and i love the support! yes i spoke to immigration today and they said that if they are requesting the landing fee it is the final steps of getting PPR. we have yet to receive his letter requesting PC redo, but we are doing it anyways so when he gets it i can send it to them along with anything else they may be requesting. i find that every case is being treated differently...i also applied for TRV and was denied last year for his bday and christmas....i have now travelled there 3 times within the year of applying for sponsorship making it 11 times since december 2010 that i have travelled to see him...enough is enough....its his turn!!!!!

I must say the words of encouragement are very sweet and soothing but it really hits home when your due date has passed and ecas has not changed or they have not contacted you for any documents. Hanging by a thread here.

So finally heard from kingston after almost 15 months. My husband received a letter requesting new pc, medical and our sons birth certificate. I'm a little frustrated as they give you 60 days from the date the letter is dated and he received it more than 30 days past that date! Oh well! Lol....kingston is working!!

Good news and they are moving on your file. Sucks that the letter is 30 days after the fact but get your hubby moving so he can get those all in. WOW though they are asking for new medical which must be the new thing. When did he do his previous one?

I know it can't be easy waiting to hear something but like I said each time pass it's getting closer just pray n leave the rest to god honey don't give up pray for faith

Am a very impatient person and believe me when I say this every day I get up n I pray m leave my case to him in his hands to take over and it helps I don't feel so pressured and burden any more so pray honey pray don't give up on prayer n believe that your prayer will be answered n you'll see the magic

has anyone gotten their PC redo done in st. anns? if so how long did it take to get back and how much did it cost? the reason i ask is my husband was there this morning and they wanted to charge him $100 for a 2 week wait or $50 for a 6 week wait? something is up with that as the first time we went to kingston to get it it only cost $40 and we got it in less than a week.....

Persons who require a police record should visit any of the Inland Revenue Department Offices (Tax Office) and pay for the record. The receipt must be in the name of the applicant.

The fees are:

JA$3,000.00 - Regular Service- 21 working days

JA$6,000.00 - Express Service – 5 working days

JA$8,000.00 - Next Day Service (available ONLY at 34 Duke Street)

thats what i thought! we did the first one in kingston on express and it was $6000jmd.
im gonna do next day service for $8000 its sooooooo worth the extra $$$
