Not sure if I'm looking at the right # 's but it says searched by TD03724. Does that sound right Sammy?

My last letter from them said pay the RPRF in 30 days so we can conclude your application . Not sure if I should read much into that

This is where you check the status of your application - cic.gc.ca - is the general web address

When I log in, it shows this:
:) lol I wasn't up to date with the abbreviation. Yes that's what I check and it's very general..I call it cic..I now know to call it ecas. Thank you :)

not to mention the stress and problems its causing in our marriage with no answers and no response from kingston...everyones lives are in limbo and its just too much!

Hey Jamwife! They emailed hubby. When we filled out the application, we put down hubby's email address for his portion and requested all correspondence to be via Email.

Usually it's because you're entering something wrong (even when you don't realize it). I had to just give up one day, clear the cookies in my browser and try again when I calmed down my frustrations. It worked then.

For sure, there is insane amounts of stress for everyone. I mean, imagine how hard it is for people who are hitting the one year mark... now quadruple that for people who have PASSED the one year mark (since Kingston got their file) and even had people get PPR before them, though they applied after.

I truly wish there was a better process to this entire thing, but unfortunately, I doubt that will happen.

Did you check with the UCI + your family name + your date of birth + your country birth...? It has to be your info not your husband info. The website site works properly this morning.

I think presently everyones are in limbo, depression, downs, everything negative because this summer has been so slow...September soon there and Kingston will accelerate, well we hope so. Just try to think about yourself and do something that u not used to do to make the time going faster. Last week my husband was about to give up on the process I was so down and sad...so I have decided to paint my bathroom and livingroom just to make a little joy in my life during this hard time...while this time hubby went to a car show all the weekend and the result is that the week going good and we are happy....we have to wait anyway so....find something special or different to do , it helps ! :)

Good Morning JamFam,

Welcome all the newbies, all the best on your immigration journey and dont lose hope.

Congrats on landing with hubby Canjam, and all the success with this new stage your lives.

Congrats to all PP returns and PPRs coming up ;)

Hang in there everyone, God has taken you all this far, he won't leave now.

Nini, I dont believe you husband can travel back and forth on his COPR as he is not from a visa exempt country.
The visa that will be issued to him is for one time use only and will be cancelled once he lands.
He can freely return to JA before his PR card arrives but for him to return to Canada he needs a travel document from Canadian High Commission, which takes about 30 days to process in JA; or if he has a US visa he can travel there and return to Canada by private car with his COPR only.

Travel by air is usually not possible because the airline upon check-in requires proof of residency which is either his card or the travel document.
