They applied May 24 2013....and got through already. Also there was somone a couple weeks ago that applied in July 2013 and got PPR

To add to this, I know of another couple who applied in June, file went to Kingston in August and he is already living in Canada since a few weeks back now... Talk about angry and frustrated. >:(

Oh yes so frustrating, but hang in there Nini I feel that your time is fast approaching.

So much for KGN and MPs saying that they are processed in order!!!

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! The entire process isn't well organized unfortunately. I know someone personally who works for Kingston Immigration and she told me that it only takes 3-4 months to fully complete the background checks, request PPR and issue the VISA. The rest of the time is waiting time. That being said, because of the overlap, she said on average it should only be taking about 6-8 months (12 months for the difficult cases). She's never said that they make people wait on purpose, but I've always had a sneaky suspicion that they do....

Its been a long time on this forum for me...
Where can I find the spreadsheet now?..I have a feeling I have broken a record for longest wait ever. Still no word at 25 months since we filed

I don't understand how you are still waiting. What is your MP saying about that?!

They have done many inquiries for me. She said call back in two months again. Same as they always say. ARC is in process and no one can tell me anything more except ...Wait!

You are past the posted waiting times. Your MP has to do something. If they are not willing to help then you need to contact Chris Alexander. He is the minister of Immigration. Let him know that your MP is not willing to assit you.

Also the spreadsheet can be found under Kadi27's name. She last posted a couple weeks ago

And welcome back....sorry you have been waiting for so long :(

Sometime it feel like a nightmare that will never end. Every time we get to the 'process time' it goes up and we have no case to say its been too long.
I have my ticket to Jamaica booked for August 1 ...I won't be returning to Canada without my husband with me and my son who is now 15 months old and only met his dad once for a week trip ...

All because of red tape and processing line ups and what not. :)

That's really upsetting about your son. I feel even more terrible for those who have babies and cannot be with their spouse, it must be SO difficult!

Well, you currently have a case since it has been past that time. Make your case now before the times go up again!!!!

Apparently. My husband is a failed refugee applicant and deemed inadmissible to Canada until our ARC is approved.
In this situation ..the processing times do not matter. That is what I have been told by the mp. Its like we are criminals because he was denied refugee status. Its sad

Chris Alexander is in ottowa ? Or Kingston?

I need help from someone that can actually make a call...because this is just torture at its finest
Wow DLMO77 that is just HORRIBLE!!! Chris Alexander is the Minister of Immigration, but has an Ajax riding. His number is 905-426-6808 or you can email him at chris.alexander@parl.gc.ca Most likely one of his staff will get back to you. When did you get sponsorship approval? What is an ARC? Could that be why you are delayed?

Oh man that sucks bc I have heard that once you have refugee status denied it could be difficult. Try emailing Alexander a very detailed email asking him how Canada can deny a father to be with his son!!! It is good though that you are able to go there and remain there until he comes home with you. Good luck!!

Yes. I am sure it is why we are now in waiting still.
Thank u for the info. I will try anything at this point before I get on that plane and try to live this out with my family intact insteadvof broken apart as we have been for too too long now

Oh and mention that you are ABOVE the posted times for waiting. Not sure if this applies in your case bc of the ARC but it is worth trying.
