She is the controversial little girl from the Cheerios commercial. Apparently a bunch of people were up in arms over the fact that it shows and support interracial marriages/couples. They were telling Cheerios to stop running it.... Not only did they CONTINUE to run the commercial, other companies have some followed suit, portraying interracial families in their commercials.

ohhhhh ok honestly I have never heard of that story but I will definitely check it out and +1 to the other companies joining in! Every race, every shape every size every everything should be portrayed, because that is real life!

Just wondering if anyone ever took a Leave of Absence for a month or so from work to go to JA to be with your spouse? or did something similar. I've been toying with the idea of it. I hate that I have to continue to make a living lol why can't I just take a 22 mnth leave of absence with pay and my position secure? Is that too much to ask?!

yesterday we got the PPR through email and they said they would mail this copy to his address.

They are requesting medical, police record check, schedule A, passport and they gave him 60 days to March 28,2014.

Does that mean the bring forward date is March 28,2014?

yesterday was 14 months on the day it was in Kingston.

Also I got the email at 3:20pm making it 6:20pm in Jamaica.

New day... new POSITIVE day!

Mrs. P, I request a LOA in a previous position, but they wouldn't grant it, so I had to resign. My position was a bit harsh as I had the choice of getting married or not, so I took the road of marriage. That company was a little harsh to say the very least. Took them 3 months to find a replacement after I left... Teach them good! There is no harm in requesting it if you can afford the month off... I only resigned because they weren't even going to allow me the time off to get married though I had 3 weeks in my vacation bank.
