@ Chickie: although I am still waiting, and there response it sort of generic... I do feel good that they responded, it gives me reassurance that they didn't forget about us... And now I actually know the date they recieved the file (March 4, 2013), because I never got confirmation with an exact date... And that we should wait before re- doing anything, and lastly that they will call husband & e- mail me... Gives me some relief ... Hoping to see some movement around March!

it is definitely interesting to read what they said about the way they correspond because about 3 people so far have gotten PPR thru email which is new......it has always been a phone call. I am wondering if they have now changed (once again) their way of contacting people for PPR! Always keeping us on our toes that Kingston does!

Maybe for the ones who have an email provided. We didn't provide an email on the application so they had to call or send a letter.

yes that is what the email that she got said The normal means of communication with the applicant or sponsor is via email and mail. Phone calls are placed to the applicant or sponsor if these other means of communication have proved futile.

But we have never heard this before.....it was always a phone call until lately people have been getting emails instead....

Then it makes no sense when they said he was suppose to have an interview. They called his Canadian cell phone not his Jamaican number like stupid. They never called me or the lawyer, didn't send a letter to anyone so how could an interview be set up I think bs about the interview.

I think so too because in the whole time i have been on here, never once have I heard of a person getting called for an interview....they always have sent a letter out with the date and time and a list of the additional documents to show proof for whatever reason they are asking for the interview. And if your lawyer is your representative then he is the one they would have mailed the letter too!

In regards to communication from Kgn- applicant... I asked about it in the e-mail I sent Kgn, because I expressed my concern about unreliable mail ( he lives in the country)and the post office ppl just send out his mail with ppl from his community ( relative, neighbhoor)... That's when they said they can call (applicant)and e- mail (the sponsor)

Just too add to that. In the whole time I have been on here I have never heard of Kingston "cancelling" an interview because they couldn't contact the applicant. Kingston gives bfd's also for applicants to abide by. If they believed he was a no-show for an interview they would have closed his file with no visa issuance. Just my experience.

@ CanJam.....that is good that they emailed you back. Not once have their answered any of my emails since May 2013 We have emailed 3 times in August regarding our medicals and 1 times this month and they will not answer our emails at all!

I feel like they've very selective and sometime-ish.

A friend of mine emailed them four times and never got a response...another friend emailed them about going to Jamaica and they responded right away.

Like I said, you just never know with Kingston! It just means they aren't answering my emails because they are way too busy working on my application to answer me!
