A clear indication I have been around too long! :D

20.5 months tomorrow...
:(

Or... A very wise woman!

Nev, have you ordered notes lately? And at 20 months, don't they have to tell you something?

I read this on the 'relationship tips' thread and had to share it with the Jam Fam because it spoke straight to my heart and made me shed a tear:

Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It's for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don't see it nearly enough...

Amen! :'(

Thanks for asking, Mrs. Davis.

Stage 2 processing doesn't begin until Sponsorship approval which means I have been waiting almost 18 months so I could be in the dark until April 2014. :o Sadly, when a lot of us early 2012 members applied, the Stage 1 processing timeline was fluctuating between 80 and 90+ days.

I was ordering my notes on a fairly regular basis and it just got too depressing when there was nothing of value in them. I ordered a set on Nov 1 so I should be getting them back next week...

Oh , ok ! God I certainly hope they say something !

Hey Fam!!

Hope your all hanging in there its so amazing to see how much we all share going threw this process is not for the weak heart's that's for sure

sorry to everyone that is struggling right now I hope this will be over for all of us soon at least Kingston seems to be on the move .

I have a couple questions I was hoping to get some help with.

1 Can we buy a one way ticket leaving Kingston or does it have to be a return?

2 Can anyone tell me what will happen once my husband lands in Toronto? does he have to see Immigration there?

3 where do we get his pr card? Do we have to go to the boarder?

4 do we have to wait to get a sin card before he can work

Alberta registries told me that anyone coming from Jamaica has to write there learners and then in one year take there drivers :(

Sorry I know this is alot of questions but I guess we will all be going threw this

Thank you for any help

I want to thank everyone for your kind words and prays. Like always takes a lot to get things out of my husband but I think I know now what has been bothering him. His cousin started dating a girl in dec 2012 and they were married in July 2013. They just applied for a visiting visa and he was just approved. I think that's really hard for him to see because we have been together for 5 years and married for almost 2 years. Plus we just applied for a visitng visa in August and didn't get it :(. I just keep reminding him that it's not just us that there are lots of people waiting some even longer then us and if I could have it my way he would be here by now but I am stuck waiting like everyone else. Everyday is a struggle but it's also one day closer.

Thank you again :)

SO please believe they are working and hoping that a lot more come thru for the christmas season ;D we actually went in two months ago while I was down there to apply for a visitor visa which he was granted but the same week he got a call into the embassy to submit back the passport. I pray for you all because prayer sure does work we have been praying forever every single day and finally our answers were heard !

Congrats! I wish you and hubby all the best :).

When did you apply?

Hi everyone ! I am new to this forum. And i must say i feel down after reading some post about getting denied. Here is my story I met my husband back in 2003 he was here on a working visa, and kept coming back to Canada until 2005. In 2007 i went to JA for his mothers funeral. And we were still in a very devoted relationship. I visited him every year, talked for hours every single night. We got married in 2011 but i didnt file for him until 2012 because i wanted us to fill the forms together even though he did the medical the same year . In August he was asked to do medical again and police background check. He just got mail asking to send his passport. When i sentthe package to CIC i sent proof of Western Union receipts showing proof that i do send him money sometimes. But after reading that someone got denied because they think he married her for money. I am getting nervous that we might get denied. Why do they ask for proof of relationship if they are going to deny you? I am going to be devastated if this happens. Our relationship has been through alot but one thing is for sure we got married for love.

Only God is able to change your spouse's heart. Don’t waste time complaining, nagging, shouting or manipulating him/her. Change cannot be forced externally. Heart change cannot be prescribed by a therapist. Your spouse’s problems are just symptoms of a defective heart. Therefore don’t waste time dealing with the symptoms. Ask God to deal with the root of the problem once & for all. Go into the inner room and seek God in prayer. Have faith in God’s ability to change your spouse’s heart because heart change is God’s business. “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26.
