According to posts on this thread from 2012, passports can be dropped off at the Embassy in Kingston on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 1:30pm and 2:30pm. I haven't seen anything since then so it may have changed. I would think you could courier your passport via DHL with a return envelope any day of the week. Personally, I would clarify the details with KG when they call you for your passport.
Thank you navie :) :D

Looks like this strike is taking a toll on our applications sadly I'm loosing faith.
Keep your chin up girl......i was reading the newspapers on line the other day and it seems like there are only a few embassies that this is affecting ie China, New Delhi, London......I don't think ours is on strike per say.
This process is long and many times it will test your faith, patience, hope, and everything you have in you but there is a prize for you at the end of all this......YOUR HUSBAND and then you will be saying it was worth the wait!

Come on Kingston, one more half day left to give someone some news.....please give someone some good news so we can all get in better spirits around here.....our spirits are getting weak!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chickie is right, oneandonly!!!! Hang in there!!!! Just think, you will be in Jamaica with your hubby in two short months. :D

{Not to rain on the parade: although we see people getting through in six months (sometimes less!) we need to remember that 80% of applications are completed in 19 months. Which means the other 20% may take even longer.} We don't have to like it but it is the reality! ;)

So even though/if the strike is affecting Kingston, we are still within the regular processing timelines!!! (I'm trying to add some CIC humour in here folks!)

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!!

Positive thinking = Positive results.

Thanks chickie for the reassurance I just want to see a in process soon or some news to say I'm kinda getting there. I know I'm in line for processing but that could be piles away lol.

not that we can compare against others because everyone is different, but mine didn't go into process until March 19th which was 19 days after the 1 year mark for submitting my application, but my notes show that they had started working on my file in January without it going into process at that time! It only went into process on March 19th because they had to ask for documents from us so even though yours may not say in process, does not mean that it isn't in process :)

Close to old harbour a gated community with security owned by realastate so I will be very safe. This immigration process will soon be over.
