I have a question for anyone that has been to JA before. Is it possible for you to get money out of your Canadian bank account while down in JA? I won't be in a tourist section and my husband said there is no way for me to get it. I know they have Scotia banks down there but my bank is TD Canada trust.
I have set up a special scotia acct that i can withdraw from but not deposit. I e-transer any money from my td canada trust to my scotia acct while im down there and withdraw at any scotia machine. it doesnt cost any money to do this (no fees)

i know CIBC is down there now and also RBC

to clarify it is a canadian Scotia Bank account i set up.

Good afternoon Danielle here is some information,

http://www.inspection.gc.ca/animals/terrestrial-animals/imports/policies/live-animals/importing-or-travelling-with-pets/dogs/eng/1331876172009/1331876307796

read through this. and still makes me sad. because ontario has banned pitbulls i dont think it is going to work.
my dog isnt a pitbull but it has pitbull traits. When they ban the breed they also ban characteristics of the breed - so if the dog has any characteristics of a pitbull then it seems its a no go.

:(

if you use the scotia bank machine yes you can and there will be no trans action fee same as if you have a scotia account here in canada same charges apply ..... however you are not able to go into the bank and make any kind of transaction ( know from personal experience) however you are able to use the bank machine ....but you can always call the td bank customer service just to clarify .... since your bank is td you can still use the scotia bank machine however there will be a service charge not sure how much but i believe it is less than $5 dollars canadian for each transaction

well family its the end of the work day for me
heres hoping Kingston will have some good news for alot of this family still waiting after there 2 extra days of rest

i know when i have used my td canada trust card in the past td charged me 5cnd bucks and scotia (because it was a third party) charged me 285JMD for using their machine. I found it a lot easier and cheaper just to set up a scotia acct. I believe its 3.00 per month for the cheapest acct and if you keep a larger balance in there its free :)

I know for sure that once ur debit card has a plus sign on it then u can use any machine to access the funds however u wud have to bear in mine currency cross border fee i believe with my bank cobc its five dollars for every transaction so my advice is if u gonna use it pull a lum sum onetime so that ur only charged that one fee or bring the cash from here

I had two weeks with my husband. I made sure we got married 2days after he came because i wanted to spend more time as a married couple than planning a wedding. It was awesome, but Like I couldnt believe I was married and I went in a shocked like 2days after we got married. He had to sit me down, explain to me and totallly like this is it, we are married. :D
my paster wanted to talk with my wife since she was a foreigner...so we did not get married until she was almost going to leave but i made sure before she came to jamaica that i set up everything before she got here....the only thing she had to do was she the pastor before before our wedding day.......he had to get some information from my wife first before we can get married
