I'm not trying to rush my life away but I'm looking forward to Monday and hearing great news come out of Kingston. It's been tooooooooooooooooo longggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg since I've read a landing story and I would appreciate reading pages and pages of them.

Good morning all. What are you all up to this weekend besides waiting for Monday to come? Good Afternoon everyone, Hope your weekend has been fantabulous ;D Just a quick question how long does it usually take to find out if your an approved sponsor? And once thats approved does it mean Canada has made a decision and now its upto Kingston to be satisfied of genuineness? Just trying to get an understanding of the process

Step 1:

CIC is currently working on applications received on Nov 9 and it is taking them 55 days to assess the Sponsor. This information can be found on the CIC website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp

Step 2:

If you are approved as a sponsor, your package will be forwarded to Kingston, Jamaica to assess the Applicant (which includes approving that the relationship is genuine, among many other things i.e. medical, background checks, etc.). It is taking 17 months from the time Kingston receives your application to complete this step. Processing times are located on the CIC website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp

The processing times in Kingston vary; however, you can look at the spreadsheet under Chickie's ticker to see the timelines for individuals on this thread.

Good morning forum family it's offically Monday the day that we love. It's a full work week for kingston hope we hear some good news and families are reunited with their loved ones.
