Hey Keke!!!

Hope you're having a good Saturday!!

Are you also carrying a bundle of joy?? Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Hey Halfmoon! My Saturday has been good so far - thanks!!

My bundle of joy is now 7 months old. Hubby applied for a TRV so he could witness the birth of our lil one and of course he was denied. it was extremely hard on him because this is his only child. We weren't allowed to video tape the birth so my friend and my sister had him on the phone while I was giving birth so he could hear what was going on lol.

Moonie, what are your feelings/thoughts of when an interview is scheduled? I know they can ask for one at any point in the process but do you think if we've gone this far without one that they would still request one?
they can still ask for one for an interview because i know a few ppl that got interview and they still waited longer than us...but by the grace of god they are going to waive our interview and just go straight to ppr

yes it going be be one year since my application been filed......on jan. 23rd is my 1yr

Hey Maddants! Are you going to re-do your Medicals or are you waiting to hear from KGN?

As a side note: for any of you ladies who are pregnant and are concerned that hubby won't be in Canada when you are going into labour (which I hope doesn't happen) ask your doctor if the hospital is equipped to Skype the delivery. A girl I know that is going through this process did it. Obviously it's not the best outcome but it could be an option...

yes.. it is so tough being alone during this time.

so i shouldnt expect and ecas updates until things are relativley done... as far as "in process" ?
and i didnt realize there was a extra fee for PR? i thought the $550 was for everything...so i should start saving for that now too lol

this forum has been such a eye opener and really appreciate all the advise and support!
we all need our men home asap!

Some people on this thread have had their ecas updated to in process. It really is hit and miss with Kingston.

yes you have to save $490 dollars more for the permanent resident fee but you can send it to them once you get it though.....so try and pay it asap ......we have immigration lawyers here that do any case fore free

Same thing happened to us! It is hard but we will make up for it on our next pregnancy :D

It is so hard to imagine that they feel it is okay to keep people who are married\in love away from each other for so long.. But then when there is pregnancy\children involved!?!?! It makes me so sad for you. I can't imagine the pain you would feel not having the father of your child with you at birth :( I hope that anyone in that situation gets through faster so that they wouldn't have to go through it alone.

For those of you waiting +1 year, keep in mind you have an automatic bring forward date of one year from sponsorship. This can be a time where you see movement on your file 99% of the time, if you haven't already!

Can you elaborate JG? What is a bring forward date?

i emailed kingston back in december and i ask them if i should redo them..they to me to wait until the request it or any other documents they need so im going to wait on them

It is a built in reminder to look at your file...

For those of you that have ordered your notes, you will see that on or before the date of your sponsorship approval the officer in Mississauga did a set up in the system for your security, criminality and eligibility checks. Now, these checks weren't started in Mississauga, they will be started when the officer gets to them in Kingston, but they are initiated in the computer from Mississauga. Anyways, if you look at the notes, you will see that there is an expiry date for these checks (aka bring forward date).

Did I explain that well enough?? lol
