Why? Because s/he has to wait now a bit longer to become a Canadian citizen?

Wait time in other countries

Germany: 8 years
Switzerland: 12 years
France: 5 years
India: 12 years
Saudi Arabia: NEVER
USA: 5 years
Australia: 4 years

Pathetic that is, your lawsuit.
Australia: have been living in Australia on a valid Australian visa for four years immediately before applying which must include the last 12 months as a permanent resident Non-PR time counts there

Yes only one nation out of 130 nations worldwide that offers Pre-PR days. Any other countries? In fact I think Australia is the only country in the world that allows it.

If you like that Australia uses Pre-PR days, you are welcome to move there and apply for Australian citizenship.

Once Australia realizes that they are the only country in the world to offer Pre-PR days, they may start thinking about changing it to reflect worldwide reality. Australia and Canada tends to use each other's as examples. Australia may have justified it because Canada was doing it as well. Once they see that Canada has dropped Pre-PR days, I wouldn't be surprised if they follow through as well.

+1 Agreed.

I don't understand why people complains a lot, if you have to wait, just wait, not big deal. Everyone is trying to get around the rules and get things in a "simpler" way, rules are rules but people don't like to follow them.

If people don't like Canadian rules, they are welcomed to move wherever in the world that is better for them.

Phew Close shave. Just got an email notification from Canada Post that my package had been successfully delivered to CIC on June 8th, 2015 signed by a Dan Lewis. Can take a breather now.

You are hurting people which think that 4 years living in Canada causes them " IRREPARABLE HARM "

Sky will not fall ? all know the new rule is coming and will be implementing in June.2015.

Let Government do their Job and we will do our job... once qualified apply..

am waiting for my application to process 41 months... let CIC finish all the

backlog, many people still awaiting from year 2011-2012-2013.-

Not only that

Adult applicants must declare their intent to reside in Canada once they become citizens and meet their personal income tax obligations in order to be eligible for citizenship

You have to reside in canada after being Canadian

U cannot live canada u have to live in canada forever or every 6 months
Can you please stop spreading misinformation? It means neither of the things you state.

What these clauses really mean is that that you have to declare your intention to reside in Canada UNTIL you become a citizen; and
As you will be living in Canada for more than 6 months each year for the four years prior you obtaining citizenship, you are a resident for tax purposes and as such, have to file taxes.

That's it.
