Hello, I am going to apply for my parents visit visa. I am going to make my father as a primary applicant and my mother as a secondary applicant. Can I show my mother's bank account as PoF or do I need to show my father's bank statement only? Please let me know about it.
It doesn’t matter, as long as they are living together so it’s their family income. Also, the bank balance should be enough for both, which should be $10,000 CAD for each applicant. Another thing to be noted, some applicants are getting approved with less amount of bank balance as well. Another thing you can do is attach property evaluation through CA that also includes liquid assets and immovable assets, that makes application stronger.
Good luck.

Hi there, I applied for my parents visitor visa in June 2023. They had visitor visa before which got expired. This was the first time I applied online and noticed for them two different application number was generated. I thought it will be one application and my father being principal applicant.
Now the issue is while uploading the additional documents, due to size issue I couldn’t fit all doc in one attachment and made two files - uploaded one for father, another for mother’s additional doc attachment. Now will this be an issue? I thought its one application so should be fine.. but now as there are two different numbers, I am confused.
Anyone has any idea if this okay or I should submit same docs separately for both applicants?
i got two different VISA numbers too for my parents though one is primary and other is family accompanying.

Two different VISA numbers? you mean Application Numbers?

If Application numbers, then its as expected. The feature is for you to be able to group multiple applications for a family and apply it together, however each applicant will be evaluated separately and so, the supporting documents should also be attached separately.

Hi,

I am living in France an applying for my Indonesian wife:
  • Application Submitted: 4 May 23
  • Biometric Completed: 22 May 23
  • Background: In-progress
  • Eligibility: Not Started

Our flight to Canada is the 29th of July. We are kind of starting to panic.
By looking at the previous delays, something seems weird.
Do you know if we can do something?
Thank you!

Its better to cancel the ticket and rebook once you have your PPR. IRCC is so unpredictable, hence they suggested no need to buy flight tickets unless approved

There is no way to expedite processing

If you are applying from France, there is a long processing time
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html

Booking tickets may not make sense either
You need to wait to see if you get approved and then make travel plans

Good Luck
