U r senior here but may I say this is quite normal. What happens is that if we upload reqd. docs , we get acknowledgement..BUT it does not reach the proper place or desk in time. All you can do is re-upload in the email if allowed but if email is "do-not-reply" type, I am sure agent will see it within 2-3 days. It happens with most cases.
Thanks singleman.

It has been 3 yrs with FSW and I am not very much in touch with the process involved in spousal sponsorships.

I have never actually had a ‘real’ CIC Agent email me before for anything. They have always been from unmanned mailboxes.

Congrats on successfully getting your spouse sponsored. I have a few questions about your application, my wife and I have also sent our application last week. We are Indian citizen's and I'm the Canadian PR.

I justed wanted to know if anything that stands out in your case, e.g.:
  1. Can your marriage be verified by the government website using the marriage certificate number?
  2. Length of your relationship in total and before marriage.
  3. kind of documentation you provided to support the application.
  4. Any other thing which you think might have helped your case.
Please share few details if you are comfortable.
Thank you.

1. As per IRCC checklist, I submitted a copy of marriage certificate which was issued by the Indian govt.
2. Length of relationship before marriage: Around 7 months. We submitted our application a month after our marriage.
3. All the supporting documents was provided in accordance of the IRCC checklist. Make sure that the documents are well organised. It is a small thing but it really helps the case officer studying the application.
4. We made an extra list of miscellaneous documents that included a copy of marriage announcement in newspapers, daily skype chats, whatsapp call record, copies of friends from both sides wishing us, copies of card sent on special occassions. In essence, try to provide documents that shows your relationship is genuine.

can you share your timeliine thanks
If you "click to expand" underneath my name to the left, you can see my whole timeline. I am a May applicant and got my application in before the switch to Sydney so they moved extremely fast on mine. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I'll try to answer them.

Mine stayed in Mississauga the entire time. My understanding is that US applications only go to the Los Angeles visa office when they are complicated - either questions about the relationship being genuine or issues with the background/security check. Otherwise, they stay in Canada for processing.

According to IRCC's website you should send it to Sydney, assuming that you're applying for spousal sponsorship ;)
