From her way of saying it I think the call center agent was just half guessing too.

It could've just been an actual update and not a ghost update, I don't really know what my statuses used to be like. Still, ghost or not, at least I got an update, beggars can't choose!

Well I had to pull few strings in the ministry to get this info regarding my application. But yes in your case it’s well over a month. :/

NDVO tech have no time line... once doc are off central processing units what they are called... the fine print is.. NDVO at their availability...BUt tech very minute processing is done at NDVO for PRs reason .. limited information sharing outside Canada even for its embassies.. if they need anything its a sep req...Its red tape but yea... You don need ministry strings for that hehehe i can tell ya right away... thats how it works

Also I live in India, if I call the CIC guys in Canada, is it a problem? is it meant only for people living in Canada? Some body told me that they dont appreciate a call from out side Canada. is that correct?

Should I call them once again to check if my file actually moved to NDVO on 22nd March 19. That is what the agent told me when I spoke to him about a week back.

Hmm, I got some update regarding the processing time at NDVO. The embassy has like a months time to check for info incase they want to verify anything. Only after this period will the RFV mail be generated. So my guess is that the recent surge on people getting PPR via NDVO already had their files transferred more than a month in time.

Are you in India or in Canada?

Its for security reason... information sharing is not simultaneous .. for some intrinsic details... they need to reach out back to Offices here...

YOu can call all u want my friend... thats never an issue...

I was saying sometimes processing delays at NDVO is due to processes/red tape processes in place

Online status via call is not available. We are unable to validate the information you provided. Can't even have access to website as it is with the agent. Can't even talk to cic call center agent as my application is being processed outside Canada. I am clue less is it a system glitch or what ?

Cool can totally understand red tape at NDVO....also I am self employed, my GCMS notes from feb 2019 said they are reviewing my work...

Does NDVO do physical verification of details like office etc....I submitted multiple reference letters from my client who are pretty senior guys in the large MNC's. None of them has got any call for verification. so I am wondering what are they checking on my Job profile for over 11 months?

Would any body have any information on how long does self employed cases normally take...I have a feeling mine is delayed because of that.

All cases are unique...

Central office might NDVO if they don have ample information for businesses etc

I only spoke to agent 3 times in a year. I don't over burden them with my calls..
