Just got to know that my file is currently at Sydney . Does anyone has any idea what is the current processing time for Sydney office. I will complete my 6 months in December and my eligibility is still under review and security not started .

Same for me. I just called CIC.

AOR: June 1, 2018
Medical passed: June 8, 2018
Eligibility: under review
Security: not started

I reach 1 year from medical exam on February 5, 2019... and it seems that if the 1 year from the medical exam goes by, they can ask you to retake the exam, so we don't lose the application and won't have to start over from scratch... so that would be the only good news...

I see people from April and May still waiting, so I think that if our eligibility is still under review, I expect not to hear from them for another 2 months...

I am actually thinking that probably it would have been faster to get a work permit and move to Canada and then later apply from Canada for permanent residency after a couple of years of work permit there... this express entry program doesn't seem to work very well...

What the ****! How can they do this to us?
Now they are saying it can be extended to a year. That’s so rude. They can’t make us wait for no reason and when did the average timeline of processing changed from six months to a year. That’s completely shattering information.
Oh..

can anyone answer my query please?

How long it will take to get back from CIC as i requested them through mail to change my spouse VISA Office to India rather than Ottawa VO?
Its been 4 days as i sent VO change request mail to CIC which makes me worried now!!!

So do U have many dependants or extensive travel history? I mean do U think there's something about ur profile that may explain such delay? and what's ur VO?

no dependants, just me... I worked for 5 employers... I don't know if having 5 letters of employment makes it more complex... visa office is ottawa

Hello all
I have received my PPR on Monday
But as my spouse is in India and I am in Canada , I had to request for alternative instructions to send his passport

Any idea how long they take to respond ???
Anyone in the same boat as me ?

It doesn't matter, I guess they do the processing on their whims and fancies. Like for us we have given all documents including 2 ADRs sought, only 1 dependent spouse with no travel history. Still Eligibility only Met not even Passed, BGC under processing and Security not started yet sitting on 158 days now.

I don't think that this is the cause of yhe delay.. also "under review" is not an indicative term..I surely get ur frustration ,may our wait end sometime soon

Yeah.. trying to convince myself that there may be any criteria that makes a difference, being so vague and unpredictable drives people insane
