Hey @ChiragShetty20 welcome to our little ark of IP2 24-27Oct whose security hasn't started yet. We're in a strange place - a limbo of sorts - eh! There's actually more than 10 of us here now who're in the same state. Let's hope our VO wakes up and starts security checks on our applications soon!!!

IP2 Oct 26. Nothing new thereafter...

You’re correct that’s what IRCC says as well. They say “when final decision is made”. Hence all those files sitting at Sydney without a PPR email are going to be considered files in that 80% category irrespective of when they trigger a PPR mail.

Hi @cansha - looking for your expert advice. My file was approved on Nov 8 (as per Ralph) and is at Sydney. Shall I order GCMS, can it trigger PPR email ?

@lavanya31 and @B. B. - so at least one of us from the Oct 24-27 IP2 has been told his file has been approved. He had passed the 6-month mark though, so maybe the timeline being different for us is all that's all that's holding up our files now. Once we inch closer to the 6-month mark, we might get to that sacred space of application approved too

I tried many times last week but i couldnt connect to any agent, but i feel that we have to get any update as ita almost 1 month now after the ip2. GCMS will take long time,
I will try to call again today and tom., how did you success to connect with agent?

On a serious note, congratulations! Maybe you are the living proof that Sydney did not forget about us! (Btw you might want to edit the date, I guess it should be Nov 26)

Hitting the 6 month mark next Monday - I have a feeling I will have to cross the 6 month timeline to get PPR.

Same here. I'll be hitting the 6-month mark on the 3rd of december too. I'm pretty hopeful we'll get some good news this week. Hang in there buddy!

I wonder what IP2 is an expression of, if not security check being initiated? In your case it seems weird. Criminality was passed before ip2, and security initiated three weeks after ip2.
No, it appears His/Her IP2 was a day after the criminality was passed which is in line with how it often happens for Ottawa and a few other VOs

So Ip2 is sometimes for ottawa visa office an expression of criminality having been passed recently? Huh, interesting, was not aware of that. Always thought it meant that security had been initiated

What a shame eh! I had a call last week when I got through to a super helpful agent, but all she could tell me was that all looks good BUT security hasn't started yet. It would only start once eligibility is passed, which again is contingent on the VO taking time out to LOOK at my file. Ahem...same old, same old...Wish you the best of luck (and @lavanya31 too) in getting updates on your files! Buck up IP2 Oct 24-27 ark - we've got to break the jinx with someone moving on to the next stage (security started or PPR!!!)!!!

This contradicts what I got to know 10 days back when I called. She said both eligibility and security is in progress. I tried to find out in various forums if someone has a similar status.
