Hello,

I submit my application for Express Entry on June 1st 2018 and paid all fees.

Approximately one week later the status of medical was updated to passed and then nothing changed.

As of today, October 23rd, 2018, I see that the background check still has not started.

This is the status I have been seeing for almost 5 months now....

Do you know if this is normal? I have tried to contact CIC at multiple email addresses but never heard back. I am applying from Italy.

Here below is status since June...

Thanks in advance

--------
Application status:

Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.

Quick question... when someone recieves a ghost update, does ADR change to NA or would it still say we are reviewing ADR provided?
*Question applies only if ADR was requested

A ghost update is when nothing changes at all.

The reason why I asked thise questions is because I dont have access to my application. Did it through an agent. I depend on automatic telephone status. As I wont get to know if I receieved a ghost update , I'd still like to think there is some progress even though my status hasnt changed since june 26th. Thats when my medical was passed and ADR for rcmp was requested. CEC inland- June 13th AOR .

I spoke to CIC agents few times they said that eligibility was recommen pass , criminality had started and security has not started. It has been the same for last 4 months.
Wishing everyone speedy PPR's. All the best!!
Cheers!!

Just called cic and got to know that our profile is at Nova Scotia VO, currently in IP2(from 15th Oct) any predictions on timeline on processing from IP2 to PPR iif Nova Scotia VO

I have it same as you but my AoR is june 9th. Hope they process these cases quickly. I have seen July cases also getting updated

Does it necesaarily have to change when PPR mail is send out? Can ADR still say being reviewed? Or does it change to NA for sure when PPR mail gets send out? TIA

Usually it changes to We do not need any additional documents but they are pretty unpredictable.

Mine went from under review to we don't need any additional documents then to IP2 and back to under review.

It just doesn't work that way. This is not first in first out process. Just sit tight and it'll come.
