After eligibility passed/met, how much time does it take for background check? Also there seem to be a backlog of background checks not started in Ottawa VO. Is anyone in the same boat?

It seems like it will take 6 months so I am going to just sit back, relax and try to enjoy the ride
looks good, not sure what review required on stat question means but since eligibility is recommended passed then i guess you dont need to worry abt it.
review stats question means review for answers of Statutory Questions regarding previous visa refusal which I said yes because I was refused UK student visa 12 years ago. Anyway this note is from program assistant at CIO and file already moved to CPC Ottawa where Case Analyst seems happy with everything (including gift deed which I received shortly before AOR) and made recommendation as "Recommend Passed".
Hopefully Visa Officer will agree with the Case Analyst and security won't take long. Hoping for PPR this month since recommendation came almost two months ago.
Your application seems fine but it shows that it has not been touched since last 60 days ( that’s a long time. If everything is fine, do you know reason for the delay here?). That’s the only reason which seems delay for your golden mail. I guess you will receive it in next 2-3 weeks. Good luck.
I guess its largely because of holiday season and influx of TRV (students and tourists) applications. I am sure this month 30-40% of June AOR will be cleared.
Also the next process your file is waiting for seems to have a longer processing time and hence backlog IMO, so your file still in queue.
2 weeks ago I got ghost update in my profile. I called CIC then and they said my security is cleared on same date and I will receive email soon.
Now yesterday I called them again to check, agent said my application is passed and visa grated congratulations you will get email soon.
I asked when ? he said your application is in within 6 month time…… bla..bla
Guys can I do something here I need to plan my trip and need email ASAP.
Anyone faces same situation or know any person …

Now yesterday I called them again to check, agent said my application is passed and visa grated congratulations you will get email soon.

Lol... what you can do is wait patiently some more. Congratulation, you are lucky that your application moved pretty fast !
yes there are cases where the call agent says approved but email takes a couple of weeks. have you checked your spam folder
