CIC office is closed until Tuesday. You need to talk to an agent for the VO info. Try calling between 8am -4pm EDT

Well, do you mean that if an applicant had a immigration representative, he can't telephone the agent of CIC personally?

You can definitely talk by following the commands but OP just wanted to know about the application status that we see on logging into CIC account.

It just means countries that they will look closer into why you went there to make sure you're not involved in any illegal activities.

I don't know all the countries but it's usually places like Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Iran, Somalia, Libya and Yemen. Those are flagged by the US so it might be the similar for Canada.

What did they ask you?

Other than the application number that I had to enter by phone they only asked for my name, date and place of birth.

Once you have your application number you should be able to telephone them to get information on your file.

hey i have tried calling the number and it worked ....These are the response which i have got from the IVR.
1. We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirement.
2.We do not need additional documents.
3. You have passed the medical exam.
4. You do not need an interview.
5.You do not need any fingerprint.
6. The review of your background check has not started yet.

Could you or somebody please tell me which stage like IP1/IP2 , I should be right now????.....
