I just did and a regular CSE and tried the addresses I have for Sydney too.
Hopefully someone does something... next Friday would be 3 months "approved and in queue".

I hope so. It's been a long wait. I really don't want to do a soft landing and I'm running out of time to get things in order if I need to leave before my meds expire.

My goodness... but what actually happens between the approval and the PPR email? Does it require review by senior officials?
Is it Ottawa that issues the PPR or your nearest Visa Office (Accra etc.)?

No idea. They used to issue PPRs within 48 hours of approval but seem to have stopped that recently.
The main office usually sends it to your Local Visa Office (Accra etc) and they send it out or sometimes the main office sends it directly. Also some cases are processed at your LVO.

I checked with my LVO but they haven't received it and said there was nothing they could do.

I'm assuming myself to be selected for SS and will have to wait maybe another year to get my application finalized. Since everything about security including activities and notes on my GCMS notes were redacted, which according to lots of forum members is the indication of SS.

Let's hope it doesn't happen.

So there are two ways activating pr.
@tobs

1. Flag poling
2. Getting appointment at ircc office

Now once ur copr is active you will get a new sin

Its a brand new sin, if u were on wp all sin start from 9 thats why it changes completely,

And once u have ur sin, that depicts u r pr

Addition to this.. ur health thing .. in Ontario required u to be for 3 months before is activated. its counted the day u landed does not mean whether pr or work permit. it means the day set foot in ontario and made it ur home.

2. If u do flagpoling, it takes 2-3 days for info to flow into system, so do not just go to service canada after poling. This is not the case if u go ircc office , u get sin on the spot.

just be care ful , some places service ontario has splti offices.. one tackles dl etc and other specially all this.. so just do ur research..

Hi...i mailed ottawa asking abt the status of my file..aor 7 june..got the following reply.

Good day,

Please be informed that your application is currently in queue for review by an officer. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with a date on which your file will be reviewed.

Please be assured that you will be contacted immediately should further information be required or regarding the next steps in your file.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Any comments..what this mail actually means.

CSE are useless unless you need to change some information in the system, there is a guy here who penned about 3 dozen CSEs inquiring status and still waited 7 months.
