most likely they will not tell you anything more than, "we've received your application and it's currently processing".

Hello everyone,
i've been reading this forum for the past 2 months, but this is my first post.

Today I finally received my SA!!!! sooo happy!! I applied on june 6th and CPC-Mississauga received my app on June 9th. Reading how people who applied after me are receiving their SA so quickly, I was very worried.

I even called CIC call center yesterday and the guy told me that he will forward a request on my behalf to the Officer who is looking after my file. IT WORKED! Today i finally got my SA in e-mail.
Thank god.
London Visa Office for me. Hopefully everything goes smoothly!

just an FYI... someone in the May thread just posted this:

Now obviously, i have no idea whether this is true or where the applicant is from. considering some australian applications are being processed in mississauga now, this may be legit. just wanted to post it here in case more applicants are being told their application is in mississauga. perhaps this is all part of the office consolidation, is only for specific visa offices, and is a sign things are starting to get on track over there... as always, when it comes to CIC, only time will tell!

Yes the copr has an expiration date. Mine is a few weeks after the anniversary of my medicals. Obviously you can't land until the copr is received. As long as u have the copr and land before or on the expiration date, you are good to go.
