I just got an email request from Vienna to send in my passport ;D

Congratulations!

But Austria (Vienna)should be visa exemption country then it should not need to send passport, right?

The email is pretty confusing it doesn't say clearly if I have to send my passport or just a photocopy of it. I am from Germany, which is a visa exemption country...

if you are visa exempt then you only send a scanned copy of your passport. do not send your physical passport! generally, somewhere in the email it specifies and gives instructions.

I did send them . If they wait till my bring forward date , i have to wait till Nov 19th for any more info .This will be the third time i have sent the same document .Its going to happen one day , so i just have to concentrate on seeing my hubby in 6 weeks.

Hi guys, I've been reading with some applications that are requested additional documents have a "bring forward date"? Is this the date they give you to have your documents in by? Mine was 45 days, it's been about 40 now, so mine should be Nov. 3rd, but does that mean that they will actually look at your documents and start making a decision on that date whether or not the documents are in or does it just mean you have to have them in by that date (mine have been at the Ottawa VO for about a week)

In my case i have had to send documents twice. The 1st time it was there the next day, but i didn't hear anything from Cic until the 45 days was up.
Then they requested them again i sent them off about a week ago. I will expect i still have to wait the 45 days till they look at them again.
I think and its only my opinion is that the computer brings a bring forward date on the VO computer that has been assigned to my case. When this appears she goes and looks for my parcel. If it is there all good if not will either call me email me or send my entire package back .Just my thoughts.

"Your permanent resident visa will expire on 08/29/2015 (mm/dd/yy)."
I thought it is valid for 5 years?? So I've sent an enquiry to Vienna and they answered:
"Your medicals – and so your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) document are valid to 2015/08/29.
Please see the attached letter accompanying your COPR concerning how to obtain Permant Resident status – and how to apply for a permant residence card."
First of all there was no letter attached and second of all why do I have to obtain a PR status? That's what I'm doing right now!
Can somebody please explain?

Your COPR is your landing document, you have until the date specified to land.
Your permanent resident card, the 5 year thing you're thinking of, will arrive in the mail once you land.

It's just kind of guess that interview is waived if it comes to passport requested. But it is still not a sure thing because it happened for applicants in Vietnam.

We received an email request for additional documentation which included the following:

"We have now completed the initial assessment of your application, and expect to finalize your application without a personal interview. While an interview does not appear necessary at this time, we reserve the right to call you to an interview, should this become necessary at some future stage in processing."

So, we sent in the requested documents and are assuming, for now, that the interview is indeed waived.
