apparently it takes longer than 30 days if the file requires extra verification.....

Hi guys, hope you're all well, safe and healthy.
So if anyone can shed some light on this matter it would be great. Does anyone know if CIC automatically requests to send passport to nearest visa office once you change your address to outside of Canada?

I see some folks getting PPR and being asked to send passport to CPP-O even though they are not currently residing in Canada.

Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks!!

I might be wrong on this, but I believe CEC apps are only processed in Ottawa so you'd have to send your passport there.

You might be right. I see folks having to email CPP-O after PPR to request issuing of visa stamping @ their local Canadian consulate/ visa office when the PA is residing outside of Canada. Oh well I'm a long way from PPR, so I will see what happens then. Thanks whymee for ur feedback.

Lots of MR, RPRF and BioData coming through for March and April applicants. Seems as though its only for NOC A applicants. What about the other applicants CIC?? Thought applications were processed on a "date received" basis, guess I was wrong. Oh well our turn will come in due time. Patience is key lol.
