Hey there, not a June applicant, but almost... I applied in late may.
I too had the 'in process' status for a while now. it changed back in January (January 11th, 2013) and till
now no medical request.... At some point I did apply for GCMS notes to understand what is going on,
and looks like my case is just stuck. At least I understood that I passed the 'eligibility'.
You might order GCMS notes to give you some idea about what is going on.
otherwise, it's not common, but it does happen. Don't loose hope. Also you can try an email CIC to inquire about the status of your application.
Check your email, and spam folders, if there is no request there, then they haven't sent it yet.
good luck!!!

Any June 2012 applicant still waiting for MR here?

It is so strange, no MR, no response, no nothing ... the eCAS shows "In Process" for 3 months ...

Could it be that they did send the request but somehow I did not receive it ???

Hi sherych,

Thanks for the reply. I'm not happy but a bit relieved to find that someone is in the same boat with me.

I did order the GCMS notes, and found that in the OUTGOING section, only AOR has been issued so far. So I guess I did not miss anything - it just happened to be slow in my case.

Let's keep our fingers crossed and wish for the best.

Vincent.

Just got back from the post office, handed our passports in a Xpresspost envelope to the clerk, and added signature verification. She said they should arrive in Ottawa tomorrow. Hoping for a fast turnaround, I haven't been without a passport since the 1990s ;D

Once you complete your landing you are a permanent residence of Canada and do not require any further visa to enter Canada any longer.

Although you'll need your PR card to enter Canada, and it takes about four to six weeks for the PR card to arrive after landing.

Some add ons.

Well I think it depends on if you are visa exempted or not.

I landed last week and border officer told me I can still go to the states/overseas via vehicles/flights WITHOUT the PR card because I am from a visa exempt country.

For those of you who are not from a Visa exempt country, you will need the PR card to enter Canada after the plane trips. If you are just going to the states in your own vehicle and come back in the same vehicle, you don't need a PR card even if you are not visa exempted.

Hi Everyone,

I successfully completed my landing yesterday! It went as smoothly as many of you said it would. I followed rosty2’s post as well on flagpoling and it was a breeze. I’m so ecstatic! This long wait full of ups and down is finally over. I feel like I earned a degree in patience.

I have to say I am so grateful to this forum and all of you for helping out in so many ways throughout this process. I hope everyone gets their PR soon and we can all move to the next big thing :)

As for the flagpoling, I went to the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls. I reached quite early around 9:00 am. There was the Crowne Plaza hotel opposite the Canadian border entry side. I decided to sit in a conveniently placed Starbucks to try and figure out where I could just ‘walk’ in. As there was no side walk visible, just a duty free. I finally went to the duty free and asked the very bored ladies in there where the pedestrian walk way was and they directed me (it was just around the duty free).

Easily enough there was a simple walkway, a small toll booth where you pay 50 cents to cross. And then I was on the bridge. No way to turn back after that so make sure you all have everything before you cross that 50 cent booth! The view was very nice and you walk all the way to the other side and you hit the American Immigration.

The person there asked me if I had a US visa, I said no. He then asked purpose of visit so I said landing. I had to wait for about 5-7 mins (there was nobody else there around 9:30 am). He gave me a piece of paper and said I just had to show that on the Canadian side. So I left and walked back to the Canadian side.

I took pictures from the bridge it was great. Once I reached the Canadian side, I gave that piece of paper, passport, COPR, proof of address and had to wait for about 20 mins. After that the lady congratulated me on my PR and gave details how to travel and apply for SIN etc.
So I was all done by 10:30 in total including some photography time out on the bridge.

Once again thanks so much everyone for all the help. I’m going to still stick around and help out as being on this forum has kind of become a regular thing. :)
