Hello I just moved out of Canada to US for work. Can I apply for my GCMS notes from outside Canada

No. According to the website: "To be eligible, you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an individual currently present in Canada."

It is so strange, no MR, no response, no nothing ... the eCAS shows "In Process" for 3 months ...

Could it be that they did send the request but somehow I did not receive it ???

I have got PPR and need to send my passports. I came to USA for work after I applied. I will send the passports by courier but there is no way to send Canada Xpress Post return envelop from here so I will have to depend on regular mail for getting the passports back. Do any of you know if that is safe?

I wouldn't recommend depending on regular mail for your passports. If you are in US, I suggest you opt for FEDEX if that is accepted by the CIC. However, regular post for passport/visa is a huge risk buddy. Cheers!!

One option would be to ask a Canadian friend to buy a Xpress Post USA Prepaid envelope for you, send it to you and then you can send it with your passport. Takes some time but it's much safer than regular mail.

Guys, I sent my Passport today but I realized that I forgot to write the File number on the Envelope. Can some one let me know if its okay since I have the file number and PPR Request email inside the Envelope.

Sure, you can apply under "Access to Information Act" since you are outside Canada and you have to pay 5$ for this. Canadian residents apply under "Privacy Act" which is free of cost.

You are wrong. Only Canadian citizens and residents (permanent and temporary) can apply for GCMS. The difference between the Privacy Act and Access to Information Act is that the one relates to personal information (i.e. your own file) when the later related to information about anyone else.

Thanks 2_of_5 ! While paying my RPRF, I'm getting a 502 Proxy Error. Reason: Error reading from remote server.

Do you have any idea about this ? What should I do ?

You dont need to write the File number on the Envelope... the copies of email and file number inside the envelope are sufficient.
Dont worry and relax while waiting for your Passports...
