Hi aka024,

Sorry to hear about your rejection. I guess I'm in a similar situation myself. For a short while between my off-campus work permit and my post-graduate work permit I was also under implied status. The work experience gained during implied status definitely counts towards the total. I do wonder, however, if your vacation had a role in the rejection. Can you share some more info on your situation? When did you go to India? When did you come back? Do I understand correctly that your previous work permit expired on Oct 10 2010?

Yes my previous work permit expired on Oct 10 2010. Implied status should be counted but i guess they don't have a record of implied status if the application doesn't get processed from within Canada. My extension application was returned as i already got the Visa from India and hence seems like they didn't keep a record that i even filed one.

Also you loose your implied status as soon as you leave Canada, but till the time you are in Canada that should be counted. The days after you leave Canada are not counted in short.

Lets hope and pray that they read my reply and understand it.

Thank you guys for your answer in regards to the open work permit. I feel stress free now. :)

On the otherhand, I am sorry to hear about the rejection. Please reapply again and I hope it works.

Same here, ECAS has been down all day.

Guys,

One of my friends who also applied (but not in this forum) in June got MR y'day. He applied in June 3rd week and he is unmarried and so the probability increased for speed processing (we are guessing this).

So, some movement happening for June guys...

I applied in June 1st week... but still I didnt hear anything yet...

Iceman4231, ur passport request would come from Detroit I guess

Early June applicants,
Based on this case I am guessing CIC is following the sequence in the file number, I am guessing iceman's file number would start on E00008XXXX (july) , my file number starts with E00009XXXX (received oct 18)
Also all those who received their AOR ahead of us from CIO, their file number also created ahead of us. Only late may and early June applicants got stuck in between.if CIC follows the file number sequence then we would probably get our Medicals only after all others got their AORs ahead of us which would be late June, July and August applicants. I hope this doesnt happen to us :( :o :o This is just my guess also that may be the probable reason that still most of the late may applicants didn't receive medicals

hi! i am a september applicant, my file number starts with E0008xxxx as well, what does it mean? thanks

When did you receive your AOR ? It's weird that september applicants have file numbers starting with 8 as against June applicants having file number starting with 9. :o

We were just trying to understand in which order CIC is processing. File number order or application received date.
Nothing could be predicted hopefully everyone will get soon. At least now it started moving gradually rather than all applicants waiting for MR.

Canadavisa07,
Late June, July and August applicants received their AORs before us that's y they have their file numbers created ahead of us. However, we hope that we get our Medicals soon.

mnjdev,

I'm quite aware of this. Logically, applicants should receive their file numbers in the order of applications received by CIC. Don't know if this could put us at the receiving end. Hoping for the best !!
