What's your status? Is it In Process or Application Received. You applied on June 29 so I believe you received AOR from NS but this RCMP request, did it come from CPP-O?

mnjdev - I hope you are wrong ...that would be so unfair...visiting the forum after a long gap and I see that still May applicants are getting MRs...the process has surely slowed down...when I applied most ppl got MRs within 6 months from app date...It will be 8 months since I filed my app in 2 days...and no sign of MR...hopefully we all will get MRs in feb.

Yosemite - looks like my guess was right, i thought iceman replied to me when "cyy8913" replied. so iceman applied after us and got the AOR before us and so as bajgal. both of them have got the AORs before us, which means CIC is processing in the order of the APPLICATION NUMBER.

again, this is purely my guess, i may be wrong lets see, it will be clear in 1 or 2 weeks, if most of the later june applicants start to receive the RCMP or medicals then we can confirm that. if that happens then really its very worst case scenario for us as we will be after 3 months . firstly, we got our AORs very late and now again? wow that really hurts

hmm,,,on the trackitt tracker, I just saw a May 27th applicant who got AOR on Oct 29th...at the same time most late May and early June applicants were getting AORs - got his MR on Jan 30th...so hopefully we will get ours soon too....I also noticed another applicant who applied on June 5th and got his AOR on July 17th....( I thought all early june applicants got AOR late but that was not the case as this guy got it in one month) got his MR on Jan 24th....so I am not sure how they are processing,,,but am hoping that they process it in order of receipt ..the total processing time is 13 months...and 8 months are already up....so the process should be complete in the next 5 months !

On who gets RCMP clearance request, my understanding is as follows. CIC does a check on the Canadian criminal database based on an applicant's name. If they get a match, they would want to confirm that it's not the applicant but someone else with the same name. For this they ask for RCMP clearance using finger print.

Hi everyone!

Iceman and I have almost similar timeline.
I submitted my app package on the 16th of june,
And was received on the 21st of june.. Both of my AoR
And file number was sent through email on July 26 and
My file # starts with Exxxx8 as well.

I guess the slow process starts in June.

Most of my friends who applied last 2011 and the first
2 quarter of 2012 were now PR and it only took 7 or 8 months for th
to be a PR.

We still have 5 months though!
