Personally, I don't think it's worth it. The only thing that has changed so far is the AOR being sent from sydney after a month instead of from cpp-oafter 3 months. There is no indication that medicals, passport request or anything else will come any quicker. My suggestion would just be to wait until 3 months have passed, May applicants have ben getting their AORs all week which means early June is next and then we will all be in the same position having received AORs and waiting.

What happens if the visa-office I selected is New-delhi ?
WIll my application be transferred to New Delhi as per my request or is it at the discretion of the person attendign my papers ??

if u applied from India than it should be new delhi,otherwise it should be ottawa or any other visa office near to your place.

Hi aaad,

I applied in june under CEC and here is my update so far.

May 31 - Sent application via Xpresspost
June 4 - 9:38 am - Delivered to Sydney NS
June 19 - Fee Charged to Credit card

Has anyone with a similar application date under CEC heard anything? Received an AOR? Chief I noticed you mentioned May applicants were getting their AOR so that means June is next. What happens after you get an AOR? Is medical the next step and do we have to wait another 3 months for that? On average how long does it take after getting your AOR to get your PR?

Hi Ssparkles,

Yes, my timeframe is a day later than yours. I sent my application Fedex June 1, it was received the 5th. And my credit card was charged on the 25th. I haven't heard anything yet, but I would guess it will be a couple of weeks until we get AOR.

Ok I gave it a shot and it worked. My name is on the list now ;D

I feel better that I have more people on my 'waiting' boat. However, it's hard not to get impatient!

2_of_5 I hope we hear soon. According to previous posts I'm guessing we should hear by mid sept if May applicants are getting their AOR's. However can never be sure with stuff like this. Lets hope for the best!!

I had emailed Sydney asking them if I can send my PCCs which I had not enclosed along with my application to them and they responded saying that my file is in Ottawa and told me to contact the ottawa office.

The same response i got it from CIO syndey that my file is with ottawa...

I did not contact Ottawa...will have to wait for the AOR and the file number..will send the PCCs after I get the file number.

I know its hard...but we have to be patient...we should hear something soon...going by the May timelines I think we should hear something by mid sept. Do let me know if you hear anything from CPP-O in the meanwhile.

If you have the file number, I think you can send the PCCs across to the visa office. Maybe you can email the VO and tell them you want to send the PCCs across and ask them what address you should be sending them to (just to confirm the address if you dont know or are not sure) and then send the PCCs quoting your file number.
