Does one still need to cross the border and reenter Canada like it used to be waaay back when? My family and I got our PR in 2010 and that was the procedure back then

No need to leave the country anymore to activate landed immigrant status. They do kind of virtual landing, just stay inside once they give ecopr you can travel after getting PR card.

All passed , just waiting for security pass under background check then final decision, i just got off the fon with an IRCC agent,Application date July 19 .
