Got another update this afternoon. Background check reverted to “Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.”

Anyone had the same update?

I got the same update as you couple weeks ago, but no updates/emails from IRCC after all.

Inland or Outland ?

Very likely inland. Outland will not be able to use IME done in 2018.

For me, right from my AOR date, the background check status reads as "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information". I thought these were just generic messages. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe they are generic based on the fact that mine was at processing from AOR date and last week started saying they will send a message when they start the BG check. Strange.

Most likely someone is working on your application.

BIO update: August 31
Medical passed: September 15 (submitted IME of medical done in 2018 for study permit)
GU: September 16

BTW, if I may ask you, yours is CEC right? If you want and if it is possible for you, post your status in CEC thread. Many folks here are waiting for someone with an old medical to work through the system. Your case will show them it is possible.

But the strange thing is, inspite of many people having movement in their files like MEP, BIL or PPR / whatever, there is not a single update on any of them in the Consolidated eAPR tracker. It just froze after April 19, 2021 giving a notion that there is nothing happening after that date.

Folks just were least bothered to update their details there although they created their initial case in Myimmitracker.
