It kinda doesn't make sense to me because they are taking time period from July 2015 to July 2016 whereas it should limited to that year alone for ex. in 2015, They admitted 271,847 people and for 2016(Q1+Q2) they admitted 172,310 people.

Honestly, I have read the whole thing and I dont really see anywhere saying they are working on 2017 quota.

They talk about number of immigrants landed from July, 2015 to July, 2016. But in numbers, when the goverment stablishes a quota it's for a natural year. For 2015, for 2016, for 2017. That's from January to December.

The article is using numbers that comes from two different years, although taking a period of time of 12 months.

In my opinion, and it's just my opinion, it cannot be assumed that they are working on 2017 quota.

I really wish they speed up processing time, and maybe that's what they are trying to do pushing these days with applications that are about to go over the processing time. Maybe if they have an application that is already over 15month, they care more about an application that hasnt gone over yet, so they get one done properly. You know what I mean?

Maybe in numbers they are like.....I have one application that is already 15.5 months....so that one is one negative for us. but I have two or three that if I push I can finish before they hit 15 months....so they get 3 under the average.

thought same when read it...nowhere says abt quota 2017, only says they r increasing the numbers thats it.

Doesnt say that working on 2017, but that report newsletter it shows july 2015 to july 2016 reaches 360k plus. Then what would be the next its july 2016 to july 2017 what are the months waiting for ppr for so long? JUNE, JULY, AUGUST 2015 what is the reason? It could be possible qouta has been reached and waited to be process again that is why someone says working on qouta till 2017. It doesn't always one calendar year in order to show cut off.cut off shows july so that they can have time for holidays as well so that's why right now processing is trying to meet 15 months case to case bases. Who knows it could be posible. We can think whatever it would cause the delay. Because nobody knows what is going on. Only IRCc knows is how to accept applications process to gain more immigrants and revenue.

Just want to share the timeline for passport reach Ottawa and return tracker activated.

Sept. 14, 2016 - Passport sent to Ottawa
Sept. 16, 2016 - CPC received
Sept. 28, 2016 - MyCIC account updated (Application: Closed Final Decision: This application has been approved)
Sept. 30, 2016 - Return tracker activated

For the rest of June and July applicants, it is your turn next week and I am 100% confident that IRCC will keep its pace in working your applications.

Hello there, it was a news article on cic website, which says the period reviewed is as July 2015-July 2016 and August starts as new quota as per mentioned , so technically it is the 2017's quota.i see someone posted the link at the bottom, that's the one. Hope this helps!!
