welcome to the group ..... please if u dont mind provide your submitting date for files and medicals also the Visa office where your file will be processed ... otherwise you can go to the july spreadsheet for outlands (the link is in my signature)

Hello masam87. Do you mean the date sent was the date you initially sent the application?

I received an email today (well my sponsor did) saying that my application is incomplete. I'm so upset because the form they say I need to fill out (IMM5490 Sponsored Spouse/Partner Questionnaire) asks for exactly all the same information I already filled out on (IMM5285E Spouse/Common Law Questionnaire) from July. They must have changed/updated the forms and now expect me to do it all again?! That was the bulk of the application with photos etc. It's such a disappointment to have done all that work, then to wait and wait, to now have to do it all again for nothing, and wait and wait again! So frustrated here!! ???

I feel your frustation as I had a similar email To re do form IMM1344 seems like this is becoming a method of CIC to delay applications Not impressed !!!!!!!

That is one of our fears as well, It seems to be becoming a very popular response from CIC lately to update forms.
The other one that is more fearful is the returning of the full application because CIC didn't realize its outland.

That is not right at all! Might be worth getting our MP's involved if this keeps up. CIC is not even following their own procedures doing this sort of thing.

I am lucky enough to have an older IMM1344 in my possession signed by my wife, If this sort of thing happens to us the next updated form will be signed in her country, SCANNED and emailed to me printed out and the older original and the printed out new form will be brought to my MP for Notarizing and stamping. Once an MP is involved perhaps they will begin to follow their own procedures.

Did they deemed your application incomplete just coz the forms you filled out were the July ones? That seems unfair coz they would have received it in July and there is no way that you could've filled out the new Aug forms. And if nothing has changed in the forms (except for the date) then what's the point of them asking for the new ones? You should call them and ask.

I did call when I could not open the attachment and the agent said that it was most likely only an acknowledgement So I was not satisfied with that answer and sent the attachment to another email address and was able to open it. And it said that my application was incomplete and I had 45 days to send IMM1344 I knew that was incorrect because I kept copies of the whole application.

They are asking you for an Inland form. If you applied Outland, then you don't need this form. Better to call CIC and let them know.

The difference between the updated August 2014 form is their definition of a dependant child's age going from 22 yrs old to 19 yrs old. For those of you who were asked to resubmit the form, do you happen to have dependants? The change doesn't apply to me because I do not have dependants. I am sure they will still ask me for an updated form.

I want to send them an updated form however, how should I address it to them since I haven't received an official letter stating they have my application; meaning I don't have a file number just yet. I guess I would have to just wait until they open my file and send me an email. This is frustrating for sure.
