I did call cic and spoke to an agent when I could not open the document and he said it was probably just an acknowledgement of the application. Finally got it opened and it was asking for the new IMM1344 I am beside myself as they have only given me 45 days to sent it My husband is in Cuba of course and it is impossible to get his signature. I have a file number attached to the email so I will call tommorrow. I have read in some of the other threads that this has happened to them as well.

Is it possible, for your husband to print form, sign, then scan to you, or at least mail to you? Cuba is a lot closer than Thailand...shouldn't take more than 10 days. And then you just fill out form by hand and mail it to Mississauga.

I've heard a lot of people saying they have AOR's already and have heard at least something, ours arrived July 11th according to USA postal... But we haven't heard ANYTHING. and I can't even look up our receipt.... Should we be worried?

no. you are still within the processing time posted online. you can't assume something is wrong because others are getting notifications. not all applicants are getting AORs right now. until you are out of the posted processing time for sponsor approval, there is nothing you can do or CIC will do. at this point you just have to be patient. you'll hear soon enough.

More likely than not, you will not be able to check the status of your application until AFTER you receive sponsor approval. Receipt numbers do not work in the system, only file #s and UCI #s work.

We had originally submitted our application on April 7 and was missing some financial info. and got the 45 days to submit the missing information which we did. The thing that sucks about the whole thing is that when you send it in, they don't continue the process from there but your application goes back to the beginning of the pile. So our missing form was received again on June 10 and the SA was not approved until August 5. When we had initially submitted it was taking 27 for SA, the second time around it took 56 days.

The really sad part is I was not missing the form as I photo copied all before I sent the application in July and the IMM1344 was the July form available at that time on the cic syatem Now it is the August form Does not seem fair to me but they have the power so I am filling in the new form Very Very disappointed

Similar occurrence to mine. Applied Mar.20, new form requested, received May 13 (which is now my new received date), SA July 15.

OH wow! Congrats! Makes me super nervous because that means we should hear something soon about ours!!! We filled Ottawa and it arrived by USA post July 11.
