Yea, I also am still confused with people saying they are landing at Pearson (Toronto airport). How do you do that?

In order to do in-landing, you have to make an appointment to in-landing office.
It usually takes about 4 weeks.
You better just go to border to save your time.

Got email yesterday around 6pm for spouse ready for visa.. Got original PPR request on 28th October 2015. My passport reached Ottawa on 2nd Nov but still have not gotten it back.

Hi,

Me and My family obtained our COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence). I have landed in Canada in sept-2015.

We planned that my wife and daughter travel in february-2016 as they need to land before 9th March-2016

My daughter got her COPR with her Old Passport Number. After getting her COPR, we renewed her passport as it was ready for Renewal.

Now she has COPR with old passport number . Don't know if this is a Issue

Could you please let me know what the process is ? My Wife and daughter are now in India.

Appreciate your help.

Hi everyone,

I submit my application July 08, 2014 and got File number Aug 28, 2014. However, after that I did not get any information from cic. And what's more wired is only the background checking is in process and anything else have not been started yet. Did anyone know what is going on?

Finally, I was able to speak to a human at CIC Customer service. Response is that all documents (Meds, PCC submitted in April, 2015) and RPRF(upfront, Paid in September) were all received, background checks are in process currently.

Q: Is this the normal process, Background checks being processed after Meds and PCC? How long background checks will take ?

how are you in DM status for so long..... did you try calling CIC? this 4 months delay after decision made is probably the first i've seen/heard!
