Dear Applicant,
Your application has reached the final stage of processing. Since Pakistani law does not permit the mailing of Pakistani passports from Pakistan to other countries, we will not ask you to submit your passport to our office in London. The issuance of your permanent resident visa will be a two step process.
Step 1: Follow the instructions in this letter to submit the requested items to our office in London. Once we have reviewed them, we will send you instructions for the second step within 6 weeks.
Step 2: Do not submit your passport to our Islamabad office until you receive instructions to do so. The Islamabad office cannot issue your visa before we instruct them to do so. (If you submit your passport early, it will be returned to you without a visa.) The Islamabad office can only mail passports to addresses in Pakistan. If you will want your passports returned to an address outside of Pakistan, then this letter does not apply to you. Inform us immediately so that we can send you different instructions.

Step 1: Submit the documents listed below to our office in London. (These instructions do not apply to accompanying family members who are entitled to Canadian citizenship, because they will have to travel on their Canadian passports.)
1. Clear photocopies of your passport and the passports of each accompanying family member. The passports must meet the Passport Specifications on page 2 of this letter because these are the passports you will use to travel to Canada.
2. The Updated Information Chart on page 3 fully completed for you and each accompanying family member.
Submit these three items within 45 days of the date of this letter (or the date of the email if you received this by email). All items for you and your accompanying family members must be submitted together in one package.
Mail or courier your package to:

International Organization for Migration (IOM)

“As an immigrant to Canada, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) invites you to register, through the IOM Islamabad Office using the email coapk @ iom.int, for a free pre-departure orientation session offered in one of these locations: Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.
Cultural Orientation Abroad (COA), a world-wide orientation project funded through Citizenship and Immigration Canada, is designed to teach immigrants about Canada before they leave their home country, so that when they arrive in Canada they are well prepared to meet the challenges they must face.”

What you should know
 You should not take any irrevocable action such as selling your property, quitting your job, or buying plane tickets until you have received your permanent resident visa(s).
 Your visa will be issued in Step 2 to match the information in your passport photocopy submitted in Step 1. This will be the name that appears on all of your documents after you become a permanent resident of Canada (e.g. driver's license, social insurance card, health card).
 If your family composition has changed (e.g. by marriage, divorce, birth, death), you must tell us now. You must also tell us if it changes before the date of your intended departure. Information in our systems must be up to date and considered before anyone can be granted permanent resident status on arrival.
 Your visas will expire one year after the date of your medical examinations. However, if your passport or any of your family members' passports are due to expire before this date, all visas will expire on the date that the first passport expires. You must enter Canada on or before the expiry date on your visas.
 The validity of a permanent resident visa cannot be extended, nor can a replacement visa be issued with a new expiry date. If you do not use your visa(s) before the expiry date, yet still wish to immigrate to Canada, you will have to begin the application process again, and pay new fees. The new application would be assessed according to the immigration legislation in force at the time of submission.

Passport Specifications
Your application will be delayed if any of the passports do not meet the following specifications. This delay will shorten the amount of time that you will have to travel to Canada to become a permanent resident.
1. Submit only copies of the passport pages showing the passport number, date of issue and expiry, your photo, name, date and place of birth, as well as any amendments to this information.
2. The photocopies must be from the passports you will use to travel to Canada. If you submit a different passport in Step 2 than the photocopy submitted in Step 1, then all passports will be returned and you will have to start again from Step 1.
3. Diplomatic, official, service or public affairs passports are not valid for immigration to Canada.
4. All names and dates of birth must be printed in each passport in English or French.
5. The given name (first name) of the passport-holder must be clearly printed on the Given Name line of the biodata page of each passport. The surname (last name) of the passport-holder must be clearly printed on the Surname line of the biodata page of each passport. They should match your Updated Information Chart.
6. Your spouse must have their own passport. Your accompanying children should also each have their own passports.
7. Each passport must have at least two empty pages.
8. For your visas to have maximum validity, all passports should be valid for at least 12 months from the date of your medical examinations.
9. All passports must be intact and not worn, torn or otherwise damaged; the laminate on the biodata page must be securely attached. Each page must be securely affixed to the passport; there cannot be any loose pages. Ordinary passports are the only type of passport into which a permanent resident visa may be inserted. Diplomatic, official, special or other similar types of passports are NOT acceptable.

Hi and i am sorry that i am replying so late. as i was away from this thread.
Now as for your question is concerned. I myself sent only notarized copies of transcripts not even the original transcripts. but u must accompany attested copies of transcripts as now its not compulsary to send univ. sealed envelope transcripts. And I have seen an applicant on this forum saying that he got NER due to missing transcripts i.e. he didn't include his transcripts at all.

I hope it helps.

Salam Lucky,

I have filed my case on March 3rd, received at CIO on the 8th. I have included university sealed copy of my transcript and also an original (I had a duplicate).

I also sent a wedding photograph and a business card of my employer (not mentioned in 5612 but it is LVO requirement), But I wanted to play safe so I sent them anyways.

Now waiting for PER..

Another worry is .. my bank letter for required funds was in mid Jan and the Pak currency is rapidly loosing its value. I didn't have much, just 1 lakh over the required money, what happens if our currency degrades further and my funds become insufficient ?

Lot of worries lot of worries. This thread helps a lot!

Best of luck to all and many thanks !

Cheers,

TA

Assalam-0-Alaikum,

sorry for late reply.

Now to your question. Answer is....

DMP went on leave from 21st jan to 27 jan. DMP office handed over my reports to courier on 1st Feb. and the courier guy sent it on 7th of feb. these were the hiccups that came to my Medicals delay.

But in the end I got a good result. Alhamdulilah. 8)

Now CIO is not asking for original documents other than IELTS. You sent it thats fine. They will send it back when processing on your file is complete.

I also sent a wedding photograph and a business card of my employer (not mentioned in 5612 but it is LVO requirement), But I wanted to play safe so I sent them anyways.

You did it right. And i am sure you also included reference letters from your employer along with experience certificate.
Now waiting for PER..

Don't worry. It will not fall so low. be relaxed.

Lot of worries lot of worries. This thread helps a lot!

Your answers are in blue.

Thanks bro. I always suggest that not to go to consultant when you can have up to date information on CIC website and real time help from here. So relax and ask anything you want to know.

1) I did my DAE from Baluchistan and the board doesn't issue the Transcript so should i send the original degree and the transcript ? is it safe to send original documents :O

Now CIO doesn't ask for original documents. Notarized copies will serve the purpose. But get a transcript. It's must. From your transcripts they get to know your Credit hours. So Transcripts is mandatory.

2) I will borrow money to show it in my bank account is it okay?

It is okay if you can keep it till you land in Canada. But to tell you, you will really need these funds once you are in Canada. as you might not get a job right away. I pray that you get it. But sometimes its really challenging to secure a job right away. so be ready to face it. so borrow it until you get a job in Canada. then you can repay it easily.

3) Do i have to show money at the airport? i heard it from some guys at the forum here?

Yes. You have to show it at the Airport. either in the form of Cash or Demand draft or Traveler's Cheque.

4) My uncle said its better to get married and then go because then your fiance will get stuck is it true?

Now a days it's easy to sponsor your spouse. your spouse will get immigration in 6-12 months. But I have read somewhere that they are changing the policy from July 12 for spousal visa and that is you can't apply for your spouse within 5 years if you have not included her with your application. So if these changes are implemented then it'll not be possible for you to get her immigration within 5 years. Though you can call her on a visit visa but not for a long stay and she will not be covered in health card so if she get sick (Allah na karay) you will have to bear for her treatment which will be very expensive. So my advice is that if you can manage funds marry and include her in your application.

5) i heard from alot of people regarding receiving PER can anyone describe me the terminologies used here like PER AOR etc

PER = Positive Eligibility Review (done at CIO stage) if your file is okay then you will get it and your file will be transfered to your Visa Office.
AOR = Acknowledgment of Receipt (Now a days CIO club it with PER)
MR = Medical Request
RPRF = Right of Permanent Residence Fees
PPR = Passport Request

Jazakumullah Khair Indeed Allah Kareem is very kind.

Byshak Allah talah Raheem-0-Kareem hai.

Your answers in Blue.

And sorry for late reply.

My file was recieved at CIO on 9th nov 2011,recieved PER on 10 feb 2012, any guesses, when will I recieved my medicals

Hi Whiteknight,

i rcvd PER on 14th feb and app sended in Noc 2011, we in the same boat let see, u rcvd AOR yet?which visa office u applied in?

In my opinion MI3 LVO applicants residing in Pakistan should consider 6 months for MR request.
I dont know how many MI3 LVO applicants residing in Pakistan have got MR?

Hi usman, I choose Islamabad as option for visa Option for processing, later, I learned, Islamabad does not process economic application, I emailed, CIO, London office, and isb office ,
Recieved reply from London visa office,
"your docs recieved, placed into a file, will contact u, when we r ready to move ur file in to the next phase, ecas status has been in process since 10 feb, I don't think MI3 applicants will recieve AOR,
Our status will change from inprocess to decision made, during MR checks etc
