I was thinking the same about our names. Now, when we fill up forms asking for 'alternate names' used, we might even end up writing our profile names . Well, I seem to have a alternate last name too - Hortons. Just a note, I am not related to Tim Hortons.

While you PPR is on its way, you must be preparing yourself to familiarize with the landing procedures. Please be prepared to show an extra5% $$$$ beyond your required landing POF and you already know why.

And to think they are the people we are planning to live the rest of our years with...in Canada...it's wonderful (see I am being really positive here...coz our PERs are on the way)! I am waiting eagerly to meet all of you in person.

It is ridiculous. For last few weeks there is no PER news. I am worried about any surprises in terms of any news etc...or could it be the year end and they want to slow down to wrap things up till certain months??? It is really wierd the way it has gone for last few weeks. I was hoping that lags will go down but things have just gone south. Hope there is flood of CC/BD charged, PERs and AORs as soon as it starts.

Thanks luckymystery. Actually, I am not too concerned about spending Christmas in Toronto. I am supposed to start on a job by January 13. But it looks like I will not make it in time. That means the job goes to the next in line. Good for him... and probably a blessing in disguise for me. Since I will be starting from scratch, I will have the chance to reinvent myself and go pursue something that is allied but a little bit different from my current field.

my dear if one door is closed , 10 doors are opened , if you dont fall in cap this year , you can apply next year , your application and other documents are complete , so you can resend your application on 1st of july 2012 , a no of applicants are here whose applications did not fall in cap last year , they resend it this year and fall in cap , i know a no of applicants who are waiting since ten years , we have to wait only 7 months to reapply. Finnaly i advise you dont concentrate only on immigration, a no of other opportunities are present in your own country, avail these opportunities. thanks

My application reached CIC on 19th October under NOC 3112. Till yet i havent got any reply.
The current Application count on CIC website has reached 262.

I wonder what are the chances that we will make it within the current CAP of 3112.

Now i am getting worried.
