Prepare the nessesary documents to adhere with the reason why you got NER and once you recive your documents back in the post add the nessary and remove the old pnes ans resend
i am not sure if you should add a coverletter stating that you are applying again

I had NER last year and i applied again with the strong proof of the relationship.
i put a covering letter mentioning that my originals are already with you like my IELTS and etc.
I dont know , i have done a right thing or not but i have asked them to contact me back if they want the duplicate of my IELTS , i have appeared for a new one (duplicate) from British Council.

have i done right thing??

Although it is the same, post july 2011 will have first priority without doubt... because they have clearly mentioned it. I do not remember where I read it, but its like understood now.. even you can see it when you track applications of june 2011 and july 2011 applicants... there has been very less activity for june 2011 in the last couple of weeks because the Visa Offices are starting to receive july 2011 applications.

Also, if our timeline moves into July 2012... then we will fall to second priority... without doubt. I think they just do it to stick to their "preferred occupations and caps" for the concerned period.

I think they have increased the processing time by 1 or 2 months for each and every VO to deal with the upcoming lot of the new application.

I emailed them on sept 26 and they replied to me oct 15 asking if i receieved the PER sent on 4th october.

so i guess ut takes 3 weeks for them to repl to email queries.

What is the working Procedure followed by CIO Sydney ?

Is this like :
1 Application received by CIO
2 Check for completeness ( If something missing, return)
3 Charge CC/BD etc (Without looking at CAP)
4 Check with CAP (If any slots remain ) If CAP is full, return
5 Eligilibility review (PER or NER issued)
6 If PER, forward to visa office

This is my understanding, if others have better understanding, please let me know
