Thank you for your valuable suggestion

yes brother Scotia bank option is there..
but If I go to nearest Scotia bank branch from my home travelling will eat up minimum 3000 INR :(
and I did inquire that physical presence is must to open an account.. ???
additional 1400 INR conversion charges.. :(
In addition to that it takes minimum 15-20 days to open an account :(
and I am planning to land within 15 days of receiving my Passport..

So all dear foreign travel experts
Please suggest something..
I guess your only option is DD, just make sure it is in Cad $ as you can encash it quickly when it is in Cad (within 3 days) but also make sure you have enough cash on hand for emergency purposes (for the first few days),

Keep an eye on exchange rates and request the dd when the price is down, you could save yourself couple of hundred dollars in conversion rate! But don't expect the exchange house (if you are using one for dd issuance) to give you the best rate straight away as they usually give you a good rate if you do some negotiation but banks don't negotiate rates.

that so sad dear..!!
but that's something unusual...!!
I have never heard NDVO asking for DD and passport separately ??? ??? ???
I sent everything all together in a bunch DD, Medicals fee receipt and that one form given by my physician and Original passport..together..!!
Honestly speaking I didn't hear from anybody that one has to submit DD first and passport later.. :(

Hope you get your passport soon.. I am sure it must be lost in the mountains of documents
When VO people will dig it, they'll get it..!

I think he is referring to his agent that his agent asked him to send his passport himself.

Dear all
I apologize for my prolonged absence from this wonderful forum. It is heartening to see all members leaping ahead towards finish line. I would like to extend felicitations to all friends, who have gotten PPRs, MRs and PERs, and prayers for the success of others. I was asked to submit updated PCC and RPRF, but no medicals. Pl share in case someone is faced with similar situation.
regards

@ Wandering Soul, RKC, Advanta, Shijaol (sorry if i missed any one),

I breezed through the last 35+ pages since last time. Sorry if I missed out on anyone.

Big Congratulations! to Kinjal, Abhishek, Timhortons, Wandering soul, advanta, shijoal, vnca, SmGrGe. for the big news & congratulations to me as well...hehe.

Big Thank you! to sidestep4u, Mitesh Kapadia, Mr. Engineer, Abhisekh, advanta, Big O, madhu yadav, spicey, msamoh, YH, now, Ravi, joydhaka, chekav, fazeme.

We went for Baba's darshan owing to long weekend. It was like we went there to get the big news. After checking mails, my husband just happened to check CAS, late at night although he never does so as often as me . I was fast asleep at the time & was woken up to DM news. It had happened the same way with PER. I guess while waiting I should just sleep more...hehe.

@ Abhi, please check for me the mailing date (the PO ink stamp) on the CHC envelope. It took 3+ days for Delhi if your visa stamp date & mailing date are same , just want to contemplate how long it should take to reach to Mumbai. See you in Canada. Thanks.

@ now, Please don't worry 90% of PERs eventually turn into PR sooner or later. We are waiting LVO. Listen up!

@ YH, I told you , you are through after your CAS was updated with Meds line. Only few days more.

@ spicey, please keep tab of the latest news on Canada immigration & keep your set ready in June. You'll make it as you are not the one who will give up, buddy. All the best to you.

@ Ravi, There's no harm in writing a polite CSE requesting status. They take around 3 weeks to reply. Sometimes writing one triggers them to look up your file. I hope you get your MR soon.

My prayers with all of you. Good luck & Good night everyone. I am exhausted after the long drive. Catch you later.

Jai Sai Ram.

I also had to go through 35 pages. It was tough though but can't sleep well without reading every post of my family. And what a comprehensive reply from you. Goood luck again for your life in Canada.

Welcome here :)

Yes your MR is slightly delayed, but there are many friends here who are in the same position as you.

The line that appears on your ECAS since 8th March is a very positive indication of your MR being on the way. Just wait for a few days more and you should rcv your MR.

Unfortunately there is no way other than emailing, to get in touch with NDVO. But don't worry you will rcv your MR soon.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply!
I sent an inquiry email as well on 6th March itself as the date completes my initial six month of application submission but its already 20 days and no words back from VO. Is it normal they take this long to reply back??
