As per my consultant, the reason behind the delay in CC bd encashment is that according to the recent changes, the PER stage has been slashed off, and we will come to know of the PER only when our file is received by the VO, and we receive an email from the VO stating they have received our file (hence got PER) (this has been discussed earlier in the forum). Since the CIO ppl dont want to go through the phase where once CC charged, the points are not sufficient, or other reasons for which they do not give PER and return the money extracted, they are now delaying things and charging CCs and BDs only when they have no doubt of giving PER (hence saving time and efforts).

Friends!!! Does this make any sense for their delay? It does give me hope.

I think u made a valid point here. CIC would hate the process of refunding, if points turns out to be less or some doc is missing. i second on what u say "charge CCs and BDs only when they have no doubt of giving PER".

i was expecting CIC to reject my file in "Check Completness" stage as i failed to provide proof of relationship doc(provided only relative's passport copy & residential proof). But they went ahead & charged my CC. Still wondering why ? Atleast i would have had my file back if they rejected in CC stage. Now if it gets rejected, i'd be deprived of my baby. And god knows when they would return my money.

I hope CIC "PER" stage is slashed & VO ask me to provide the missing doc.

Thank you Jason, this is a great news. Now we can assume with much more conviction that all the 500 that have made it into the CAP are not the ones for which the cc charging or BD cashing has happened.. :) :) His cc got charged after the update on the website on the 22nd... ;D

What happened to ur business of blowing up buildings with aeroplanes.............?

Undertaking a new topography analysis of Delhi and your place of stay. It is a new missile with vertical launch capability and during the course of its flight it can do subversive tactical strike which in layman's language means.....

Identify.....zero in....point......dive.....shovein....lift vertically and eject out !!!

So next time you move in and out of your place ensure you wear stealth coatings on your body to avoid detection 8)

Congrates Jason ! Good luck ;D

But then how do you explain that quite a few people HAVE had their credit cards charged, but have not yet had word from CIO?

As far as I am aware the operations manual has not changed with regards to the process. But I guess we'll know more when the PERs start coming through.

I must admit I think it would make sense not to charge the cards until after the eligibility review has been complete, since the cost of refunding the processing fees after encashment is far greater than any small amount of interest they would make having the money in their accounts for a bit longer.

That appeared to me as another fib the consultant has told Viz to basically pacify him. That cannot be true as a few of the applicants have got the CCs charged and as you pointed out they have not heard anything after that for this long.I'm quite used to these groudbreaking statements the consultants make .
2 weeks ago I actually came to know that my agent did not even know that the completeness check and eligibility review were separate processes.

That does not surprise me. Last October (before we got PER) we went to an immigration fair and there were a couple of talks from immigration lawyers - one was Dennis Brazolot and then other was head honcho from Goldman Associates.

It was evident from the questions I asked them afterwards that they weren't very clued up on the new post-June-2010 process and that I knew more about the process than they did. In fact the Goldman guy had never even heard of an eligibility review! He was mainly interested in discouraging people from joining in the FSW1 "lottery" as he called it - since he figured that only 20,000 out of 200,000 applicants would get visas. Which is completely wrong and he was looking about it totally the wrong way. He basically wanted people to go down the FSW2 route so that he could make a wodge of extra revenue from the employment agency business which he was also involved in.
